The 100% NHS Scotland performance that also saves thousands of lives but is never reported

From Public Health Scotland today for in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment by the NHS in Scotland:

the 90% standard was met, with 99.7% of patients attending a screening appointment within 52 weeks of referral. One patient waited more than 52 weeks to be screened.

325 patients were screened across the 4 IVF Centres, an increase of 14% compared to the previous quarter (285 patients).

97.5% of patients waited 39 weeks or less to be screened, a similar level to the previous quarter. 48.3% of patients were screened within 26 weeks, compared with 71.2% during the previous quarter.

These are not freak results. At the end of 2022, it was 99.6%. The 90% target is never missed. This achievement is, to my knowledge, never reported by MSM.

How does it save lives as well as enable pregnancies?

A 2022, Cambridge University research report revealed that major depressive disorder affects 50% of infertile women compared to 22.5% of all women who experience depression at any level. I can see no directly comparable figure for major depressive disorder amongst all women but it is presumably even lower than 20%.

A Middlesex University study in 2016, found that 42% of infertile women reported feeling suicidal.

A Danish study in 2012, found that there was an actual twofold risk of suicide among infertile women.

Might other countries being doing just as well as Scotland? In January 2023, from the Guardian:

Long NHS waiting lists [in England] cutting chances of pregnancy, fertility chief warns
