SNP build far more social and affordable homes

In the summer of 2007, the SNP formed its first government.

Social and affordable house building completions in 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 can be attributed to the efforts of the Labour/Lib Dem Government and those of largely Labour local councils.

There were 11 891.

In 2021/2022 and 2022/2023, completions can be attributed to the efforts of the SNP in national and increasingly at local levels.

Despite more than a decade of Tory austerity cuts to funding, there were 16 138, 36% more.

  1. SNP building for Scotlands people , Labour Lib Dem Conservative doing down Scotland for Englands people , when they say bettertogether they mean labour Lib Dem and conservatives are better together because they are all the same.

  2. The britnats are thick as thieves .
I see food standards have added some folk to their board , folk who already have connections , such as Mr Denton ( well his wife actually ) who runs a business coaching staff , nice pic on Twitter of nhs Shetland staff doing training at her place in edinburgh and I’m sure the existing members of food standards Scotland who are from Shetland and Orkney and worked with the nhs there wouldn’t have anything to do with that would they ?

  3. The P&J article really got my old “auditor’s nose” twitching. The obvious Tax Evasion of omitting to declare income received for VAT on paper disposal is bad enough (if a Primary One error) , but the absence of proper contracts for or recording of scrap metals and plastics is an open door to the old scams with the scrappie: he gets the goods for free, flogs them, puts a proportion in an envelope after deducting an inflated cost for his transportation costs and the envelope changes hands surreptitiously. Nobody knows.

I’m not saying that’s what happened at Moray Council, but it is clearly an open door and that alone should merit an investigation by the auditors and potentially a qualified audit report (depending on the outcome of the investigation).
