UK campaign group puts support for Scottish independence alongside racism, misogyny, violence and holocaust denial

In their otherwise interesting and useful survey of 20 000, Hope Not Hate, describer a tiny number of right-wing and violent extremists operating in Scotland.

Most are also extreme Unionists yet mainstream, democratic and socially progressive support for Scottish independence is right in the centre of this graphic, next to an array of violent, racist, holocaust denial and misogynist sentiments.

Disgraceful Anglocentrism, even on the supposedly educated left.

  1. Scottish democracy as the equivalent of terrorism, hate speech and fascism.

That is how we are judged by the “Brits” and is as good a reason as any other to become a self-governing country.

  2. It is increasingly obvious that the British establishment and media do not have a clue about scotland, as a result of the departure of sturgeon and the election of yousaf(whom they see correctly as havong much less party supprt than she had) they assume theSNP ise finished and with it the desire for scottish indpendence.
No-one in the media seems tro talk to scots on the street, only a handful of Scot-buts are ever interviwed and their views are the only ones reprted.
I hope they are going to get a nasty shock in the near future.
