From YouGov on 9th July based on 139 Scots, support is:
- Con 22%
- Lab 19%
- LD 5%
- SNP 50%
- Plaid Cymru 1%
- Green 2%
- Other 2%
That’s a wee bit down on the last 5 full polls, at 51% to 55%, but it is only a wee sample.
Luckily 1.39% plan to vote for Plaid Cymru in the next Holyrood election raising important questions:
- Is that one generously proportioned Welshman/woman or, better, two quite small ones who can both vote?
- Would that vote be considered wasted or kindly transferred to the SNP pile in the interests of fair play?
- Was that properly sampled? 22% for Carlaw? Don’t be so fnn daft!
Probably more significant and informative for us in the protected zone north of the new Covid fence, is the 46% for BJ and only 36% for Sir Keir! After all that’s happened in the last six months! Do we need any stronger hint that we should GTF out as soon as we can.
