Scotland’s drug and alcohol treatment waiting time target smashed!

From NHS Scotland yesterday:

94.7% of the 9,267 people who started their first drug or alcohol treatment during the latest quarter waited 3 weeks or less, with little change in recent years.

They’re too modest. They’ve been beating the 90% target for years now.

A month or so back, NHS Tayside announced that waiting times for starting some kinds of mental supports had dropped to ONE DAY!On Good Morning Scotland this was announced with icy-voiced annoyance by Laura Maxwell. After all, Lisa Summers had earlier this year pronounced the same Board as ‘dysfunctional’.
