They were happy to report this one in some depth but when a Tory minister does it, they ignore it, other than to mention that a newspaper has covered it. Cowardly?

Had it been an SNP minister, how might they have dealt with the story? Well we know fine from the way they feasted on the Chief Medical Officer:

It is what to expect with colonial journalism.
They get fed stories from the Scottish Office, they get fed stories from the Brit Nat parties, I suspect MI5 drops wee hints, here and there. There is a degree of funding available from spooks and “business” groups, if they toe the Brit Nat line.
I seem to recall that the Herald was threatened with advertising revenue cuts from the British government, if they ran with certain story lines (I no longer remember the details).

It is not widely or generally known that the BBC ‘World’ Service is partly funded from the UK GOV Conflict Stability & Security Fund (CSSF) which I believe is a relic from the War years to counter the then German propaganda and as far as I’m aware is till being used to good effect today. The sum I understand is in the region of £1bn and there have been calls by the opposition to clarify how it is used but without luck. I guess therefore we can all draw our own conclusions on that and how some of the money is being used for.

Further research on the CSSF would be welcome , it’s very existence would appear to work against the principle of balance to which BBC constantly pays lip service .

And, apparently Ms Ruth Davidson has been driving from Edinburgh to Fife to deliver food to her elderly parents and to speak to them by mobile phone while in visual contact through their conservatory windows.
Truly, this is very human and millions of us would like to do something similar.
However, since the media hounded Dr Calderwood for her wrong actions and created the atmosphere where she had to resign, I see no evidence of similar condemnation on the BBC of Ms Davidson’s conduct. She is still an MSP and, since she still appears regularly on TV is clearly seen as a public figure and one whom it is thought has influence on public opinion.

I think Ruthless is recommending people leave their houses and drive to break up the Scottish Governments Lockdown. And she wants everyone to know it.
Things are going too well for the Pesky Nats. let’s stirr it up!

There is an interesting juxtaposition on the front pages of both the Daily Express and the Daily Mirror, which both lead on Mr Johnson’s removal from intensive care but surround his photo and the headline with NHS workers participating in last night’s ‘clap for key workers’ celebration. A glance at the front pages would convey the impression that they are cheering for the PM. Dr Goebbels or the North Korean media could not have done better.
