Though an increase in the number of cases from yesterday, 366 remains well within the range seen for the last ten days since the big increase on 30th March.
The trend based on 5 day averages for 4th to 8th April of 319, remains slightly lower but similar to that for 30th March to 3rd April of 323.

No big surge that the MSM journos were hoping for , as they sit conniving and waiting for the FM to give her daily update . Guy from ITV Borders is wanting Nicola to mess up so much he is almost hyperventilating! .

good description of the MSM. You can almost hear them sharpening their knives.

All of them must be seething that not only are we not seeing a surge (as yet) but worse we still have ample bed capacity within the existing network to deal with the most severe cases which must be acutely frustrating for them. However with no substance that is when the Scottish media are at their most vicious when they start to concoct their own little new fantasies. Anyway as a backstop they can always rely on someone somewhere that hasn’t yet got their PPE.

Aye Gavin and when they concoct their new fantasies they expose themselves to the public for what they are. Whilst the FM gives them all excellent.
Plus daily exposure on the telly,
Iβm thinking itβs a win win for the FM.

I though it would make it easier for you to spot the comment if I highlighted it.
Are you feeling more recovered now?

I’ve read that it can take anywhere from two to eight weeks for cases to be resolved, so I think we might be looking at another month at least in lockdown, unless we get a good plan for controlling the virus’ spread after lockdown.
I never even considered vets – it appears they use the same type of PCR testing, and may have capacity to help in Scotland?
