The latest Panelbase poll of Holyrood voting intentions, puts the SNP at 51%, Cons at 26%, and Labour at 14%. This would give the SNP a clear majority, with 70 MSPs, and a mandate for Indyref2.
The Herald’s Tom Gordonstoun is gobsmacked again (stop it!) and fails to see that voters are not supporting the SNP despite or because of any insular journalistic theory about personalities. They’re voting for the party and its manifesto. They’re grown-ups. What else would they do?

Sit down children, and Uncle Tom Gordonstoun will tell you a bedtime story.
“Once upon a time, the Prince of Torydom was seeking a bride. He set out on his big charger, and in time-honoured fashion, kidnapped Princess Scotia. He impregnated her (to make her his possession), locked her up in a tall tower, and squandered all her vast wealth (as, of course, all she possessed was then his). She told him that she wished to be as free as the all her sister Princesses, but he would not release her from her tall tower, stating that she was being foolish, Continental Princesses were “BAD foreign types, not even Anglo-superiors”, and that they would live-happily-ever-after, if she would only keep stoosh about the domestic abuse.
And the Prince of Torydom partied on, playing the game of who could tell the biggest whopper, and keeping all the nasty neighbours out of his castle lands.
Happy as Larry–or should that be Harry?”
Now go to bed, kiddies, or the Big, Bad, Salmond will get yeeze and suck out your marrow!
Uncle Tam.
