Searching ‘A&E crisis’ for material to contrast with recent Scottish data, Google made this the second-best fit. Must have missed it at the time. Is the day after Boxing Day, Fibbing Day? At first, I thought it might just be another Herald story using English material until I saw the author, Scotland’s second-worst health correspondent. She does mean Scotland. She must know it’s rubbish. Here are the links to the facts again:
First, NHS Scotland’s A&E service is at least 20% better
NHS Scotland A&E at least 20% better than NHS England
Second, you are MORE THAN TWICE as likely to spend more than 12 hours waiting in A&E in NHS England than in NHS Scotland.
Third on ‘GP shortages’:
93% can see a GP in 2 days but Herald Health Correspondent lies for 4th time as election looms
Scottish GP headcount climbs for 3rd quarter in a row, is younger and more numerous than in England.
Dear Boris, why are Scottish GPs NOT voting to reduce home visits?
Fourth on beds:
I know where there is a crisis in Scotland. All together now: ‘IT’S IN JOURNALISM!’

MacArdle or Summers , one Herod , one Bum Broadcaster , who else would you ask for if you were looking for a health correspondent that takes on the job of damming the SHS so meticuously , they hunt down stories on hospital infections and grieving mothers relentlessly , the big flaw in their story telling is they only ever tell half the story , the SNP baad bit ! .
