BBC give petulant ‘billionaire’ platform to attack Scottish Government

‘The attack on Mr McColl’s competence is despite his success in running engineering companies around the world. He gets closely involved in management and is reckoned to be a billionaire. His advice was sought by the Scottish government as a member of its Council of Economic Advisers.’

BBC give petulant ‘billionaire’ platform to attack SG: ‘The attack on Mr McColl’s competence is despite his success in running engineering companies around the world. He gets closely involved in management and is reckoned to be a billionaire.’ Oooooh he must know better. Let’s throw the toy boats out of the pram? Should we ask a few engineers first? No need it seems.

  1. Interesting comments from Jim McColl – he suggest his company was incompetent and produced ships that are totally unsuitable, so unsuitable that they should be scrapped and started again. Reminds of someone years ago – Gerard Ratner and his prawn sandwich joke. Worked out well for him, as I remember…. ohhh wait.

  2. So McColl who was in charge of this shipyard whilst it sank into oblivion before being rescued by the Scottish government now comes along and says close it down ?
Why is he so keen on closing down this shipyard ?
Is it because there’s an opportunity to make some money ?
