Remember when he was the one who appointed Donald Trump as ‘Ambassador for Scotland?’

By NMRN “Based on the media coverage [of the Emma Caldwell case], leaders and viewers could well think this buck stops at the door of Humza Yousaf, the Scottish Government, the SNP”. …….and that is the objective is it not……we also saw it with the Post office scandal….where the Horizon system was not a system agreed to and then rolled out by the SNP as when that system was first implemented they, the SNP, were not even the Scottish government at the time (but where like everything else instigated by other political parties the SNP ,as Scottish government, gets dragged into yet another mess … Continue reading Remember when he was the one who appointed Donald Trump as ‘Ambassador for Scotland?’

How little Labour did for the social housing market when in power in Scotland compared to the SNP

By NMRN “This is not the first time Shelter has mounted a campaign of deliberately context-free misinformation against the Scottish Government” It is also amazing how in a GE year that the volume is being ramped up….against the Scottish government by certain organisations ……a surreptitious disguise that could be then assumed as another ‘Friends of Labour’ ….and thus (another)’Enemy of the SNP’ …..another critic (to join the many pro UK ranks)……. Given the media’s current #SNPBAD and then also their #GiveLabourAnotherChance badly cloaked and very much partisan political marketing within Scotland….to shore up more support for labour and less support … Continue reading How little Labour did for the social housing market when in power in Scotland compared to the SNP

Camley the Crap Cartunionist making us peuch

This site costs nothing to run so donate to our friends at  https://www.broadcastingscotland.scot/donate/ The Herald’s Steven Camley’s interpretation of the SNP leader’s performance in the House of Commons on Wednesday. Like the English cartoonists, he attempts to conceal the fact that the SNP had a substantive, serious, motion, on one of their only 3 days, based on years of consistent support for the human rights of the Palestinian people, hijacked by a bullied Labour Party speaker and his pro-Israel leader, to prevent them being embarrassed by many of their MPs voting for the SNP motion. In November 2022, I wrote: … Continue reading Camley the Crap Cartunionist making us peuch

Not one English newspaper today has any story relating to the English NHS on their front pages yet in Scotland….

This site costs nothing to run so donate to our friends at  https://www.broadcastingscotland.scot/donate/ By NMRN Stephen Boyle tweeted this morning this : “Growing demand and increased costs have added to the pressure on Scotland’s NHS. Change is needed. @scotgov needs to develop a clear national strategy to deliver it”. I have highlighted the word “Change” as it is a tad familiar as a word that currently we are all being force fed by a certain political party…….and yes indeed the NHS here is very much one that is over politicised in comparison to the NHS in both England & Wales….where as , in England & … Continue reading Not one English newspaper today has any story relating to the English NHS on their front pages yet in Scotland….

Labour Civil War as ‘Scottish’ Labour vote for SNP motion on Gaza ceasefire

Above, in November 2023, a pretty clear indication of how the two Scottish Labour MPs, Murray and Shanks, will vote on an SNP motion in the House of Commons next week. Below, today, this bizarre BBC Scotland report: Were Murray and Shanks there? Did they support this motion, essentially the same as the SNP motion in the House of Commons next week? Murray and Shanks? You know, these two: In the BBC Scotland report, only this one mention of these two: The SNP is urging Mr Sarwar to whip Michael Shanks and Ian Murray to side with them in a … Continue reading Labour Civil War as ‘Scottish’ Labour vote for SNP motion on Gaza ceasefire

Is there no BBC Scotland reporting immune from omissions to favour the Union?

By stewartb The initial purpose here was to comment solely on a divergence of view between the National Farmers Union in Scotland (NFU Scotland ) and the Tory Party. The difference became evident in responses to the First Minister’s speech to NFU Scotland’s annual conference in Glasgow on 9 February. But reading the coverage of the same speech on the BBC News website’s Scotland page, additional noteworthy aspects emerged! The FM was setting out the Scottish Government’s future funding plans for the agriculture sector as necessitated by the transition away from the EU Common Agriculture Policy, post-Brexit. Responding at the … Continue reading Is there no BBC Scotland reporting immune from omissions to favour the Union?
