Correctly, we point to the fact that much crime is known to be unreported and unrecorded. Another ‘big’ Labour election promise worth titchy amount as Scotland’s share and might improve only 2 or 3 harbours

By Professor John Robertson They did something comparably thick when they promised to increase GP appointments and, when you worked out Scotland’s 8% share, it was a less than a half of 1% increase. Here it’s a whopping £1.8 billion ‘Scotland’s facilities will benefit from‘ so, 8% for us, £144 million. The new Stornoway harbour alone, just completed and paid for by the Scottish Government, cost £60 million. Gee I wonder how much the Scottish Government has already committed to in its Infrastructure Investment Plan 2021-22 to 2025-26 : Energy and Manufacturing? From BBC Scotland South this morning: Nursery closures ‘punishment’ for choosing rural life – Parents in the Borders claim they are being punished for choosing country living after their local nurseries were earmarked for closure. Scottish Borders Council announced at Easter that early years centres in Westruther and Fountainhall would close this summer.  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c99z08zx024o There’s not a mention of the Council being Conservative & Unionist nor of their Conservative & Unionist MP not their Conservative & Unionist MSP, fighting to keep the nursery open. Hiding the SNP Government’s massive funding of projects in Tory areas

stewartb The Scotland section of the BBC News website has from time to time provided ‘good news’ stories about local initiatives in rural Scotland. You know the kind of projects – the ones that have received Levelling Up funding from the Westminster government.  As an example, back in 25 October 2023, the BBC News website made much of a local project under the headline ‘Proposals for new Moray bridge take a step forward’. If it wasn’t the school or the photographers then the Tory council approved photos ‘erasing’ ASN pupils – where is the Council Leader?

Yesterday, I suggested: If it wasn’t the Aberdeenshire school it was the Tory council that instructed or allowed the photographers to offer parents ‘selective’ class photos Today BBC Scotland has this: A photography firm has apologised after parents were offered a choice of whether they wanted class photos with or without pupils with complex needs. Parents at Aboyne Primary School in Aberdeenshire complained after being sent a link from Tempest Photography. The company said it deeply regretted any upset it had caused and “sincerely apologised” to affected families. The Aboyne school where class photos could be had selected for with or without children with ‘complex needs’ is all over media including wider UK media today. There’s not a word from the council leader (above) nor any mention of which parties run Aberdeenshire. From the council in June 2023: Cllr Gillian Owen has been appointed as the Leader of Aberdeenshire Council, by her fellow councillors. The Council Administration comprises Scottish Conservatives & Unionists, Liberal Democrats and Independent councillors who adopt a collective approach to leadership.
