For any “normal rational being” then “Glen Sannox ferry needs £3.2m repairs after one year in service” , as an article, would not be their top story today on the BBC Scotland page , as there is a much bigger story that should overshadow it in significance.
A story that is far more significant for the whole of Scotland and so that far bigger story should have remained as the top story today on the BBC’s main Scotland page.
But it seems that yet again , Ferries in Scotland and the BBC , just seem to be an obsession that will not go away…….for the BBC that is…..due to it being so heavily politicised by the BBC against the SNP.
So then we in Scotland are deluged with what seems like a tsunami of various articles on Scottish Ferries, as a favourite subject matter , for the BBC.
So what is this far more significant story that I refer to?
Well on the BBC website the top story on the Wales Politics page is:
“Starmer said ministers can go against wishes of Welsh and Scottish governments in leaked memo”.
(It is on the Wales main page and currently it is the 3rd article)
Same story is on Scotland main page but it is now the 11th article.
Same story is also on the Scottish politics page but it is now the second story. (may descend even further ,far too quickly than it deserves to).
However the Ferry story is the, checks bloody notes, top article on the Scottish politics page.
This Keir Starmer story is an absolute scandal of a political story and is one that hugely impacts Scotland politically.
However for the BBC in Scotland it appears to be that it, as a hugely significant political story , is one that they , the BBC, think pales in significance when another Ferry story comes along.
Agenda much BBC ?
This hugely scandalous political story is one where:
“Sir Keir Starmer told senior UK ministers they should be prepared to go against the wishes of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland’s governments when taking decisions, a leaked memo has revealed”.
“The prime minister warned against showing too much respect to the administrations, telling his cabinet to feel confident spending money in each of the countries “even when devolved governments may oppose this”.
All we have had with Labour since they became the new UK government in 2024 is a succession of betrayals and now this scandalous betrayal of devolution itself, which the previous Tory UK government also was committed to doing as well.
Riding roughshod over devolution while during the 2024 UK GE campaign Sir Keir Starmer spewed out a slogan in him saying that:
“Scotland would be at the heart of his government” .
A heart that is clearly not beating for Scotland, that’s for sure.
This latest Labour scandal, if nothing else, clearly shows the people in Scotland that with Labour in charge of the UK there has been no change from the Tories .
Instead all we have had, yet again, is just another UK government acting like a control freak with all of the devolved governments.
A UK government and their contemptuous manner towards all of the nations that have devolved governments.
This is the reality of WM politics, be it in any chamber within the Houses of parliament in London.
That is , both within the HOC’s and the HOL’s , where we clearly have hostile forces within both houses acting against our best interests in Scotland , Wales and NI , while ensuring that their own individual and also their respective party’s best interests are always met.

They debate, criticise and so then they get to decide what they say is best for all of us within the devolved nations, all in the assumption that they assume that only they can determine what we all need and want .
In Scotland what we actually need is our independence and that is what any “normal rational being” would want to have, especially having suffered for far too many years under a UK State that fails to represent us as a people and as a Nation.
Have the BBC in Scotland doorstepped Anas Sarwar yet , upon this latest Labour scandal ?

Talking-up Scotland 
This story is not being given the publicity it deserves as UK political news.
Even though it involves a UK PM.
Problem is though , all we have are English TV Stations masquerading as UK TV Stations , who then always prioritise English Politics, English Sport and English news.
Whenever they do decide to mention any other nation , outwith England, it is often then news that involves some form of negativity.
This story is getting lost , soon to be forgotten, what with all of the other stories aka political scandals going on in English politics, so they, the English TV Stations all decide what they think is more important than it is as a , checks notes, UK political story.
But more important to whom ?
English viewers ?
As in not giving it he same status as other UK political stories , they then make it obvious that they do not want to defend any of the devolved nations or indeed defend Scotland itself.
So they do not seek to serve viewers anywhere else within the UK other than those viewers within England.
Got it (always did know that based on their usual content ,dismissive and negative tone and their neglect of any positive Scottish news, political or otherwise, on their…..UK news programmes).

They already do go against the wishes of Scotland and Wales. Labour and Starmer are finished. People are going against them. A cabal of Westminster crooks trying to rule the roost. Will not do.
The ferries will save £Billions in fuel. Journalist are so incompetent. It would be laughable. If it was not so tragic. Newspaper lies. Run by a bunch of unionist liars. Under Westminster control. ‘D’ notices and the Official Secrets Act. Politicians cover up. Liars always get found out.

The big political story just now that all of the UK (English) media are (only) focusing upon is Peter Mandelson.
The other big political story just now is the leaked memo on devolution and all of the UK (English) media are (wilfully) ignoring it.
Both stories involve the Labour UK PM Sir Keir Starmer.
Both stories make him , Starmer, culpable of doing something wrong.
Both stories deserve the same attention but it seems that the UK (English) media do not see it that way.
There’s a surprise….not.
You see you tend to find that they, the UK (English) media, only ever focus upon other nations outwith England when they want to report that we , as in the natives from other Nations, are becoming restless for independence from their UK aka England.
I believe the term they use for us is “Separatists” , a term that was coined by UK politicians…..so then repeated by the UK (English) media.
The only other times when the UK (English) media mention other nations outwith England, is when they try to convince the whole of the UK that some nation outwith England is bad or has failed at something.
Or that their devolved government is bad or has been bad or that they have failed at something.
(That is all negative news that is usually sourced mainly from some branch office political opponent, so then it is taken as being the political gospel truth, so then is broadcast as reliable news – not usually forensically researched in order to seek verification of it’s validity from most the UK (English) media who communicate it as factual news).
The News according to various pro UK politicians and so then naturally, it is repeated verbatim, by most of the UK -English-media.
Note the main targets of the above negativity and bad news via the UK (English) media is Scotland……..as so far we have been seen as those who are regarded currently as a real threat to the continued unity of their UK State remaining as four nations.
(However the UK State is neither United nor in Unity…..that’s a myth that also can be proven , mainly by how they treat us in Scotland and also evidenced via this recent leaked memo on devolution, as well as the different factions now forming politically -and also the rogue news sections forming in the UK (English) media- such as GB News and Talk TV -all within their UK – English-State).
I mean let’s be honest here why should any UK (English) media, mainstream or rogue ones, care about any other nation outwith England?
So it seems that if Sir Keir Starmer is to be politically crucified by the UK (English) media it will not be because he attempted to betray all of the nations that have devolved governments .
That is inconsequential to the UK (English) media.
No, Starmer is being politically crucified because he tried to pull a fast one in appointing Peter Mandelson , while knowing full well of Mandelson’s history with Epstein.
So Starmer appointed Peter Mandelson into that role while knowing full well that he, Mandelson, had baggage, and that is what may bring Sir Keir Starmer down……..but surely not before the elections in May ?
Betraying those nations who are the assumed English colonies, that is Scotland, Wales & NI……well that’s not a resigning matter for a UK PM as far as the UK (English) media are concerned (or rather not concerned)…..ever…..or so it seems (based on past and current evidence).
Especially given the lack of attention from all of the UK (English) media upon the recent leaked memo in respect to Starmer’s comments in relation to his instructions for UK Ministers to ride roughshod over devolved powers in the nations with devolved governments.
However I am sure in respect to Mandelson that, at the time, it appeared that risk of appointing him as Ambassador to the US was worth risking, as Mandelson’s reputation was seen to be as someone that was a hard-nosed, ruthless behind-the-scenes operator and political fixer , so then he was assumed to be more than a match for Donald Trump.
Those traits as UK Ambassador to the US were obviously considered to be needed, that’s really because the very much weakened and very much desperate Brexit UK needed a good trade deal or rather any trade deal with America…….
So then Starmer was easily convinced that Lord Mandelson (with all of his baggage) was worth the risk in being appointed to the role bestowed upon him by Sir Keir Starmer.
Meanwhile in one of the English colonies (Scotland) we have a certain branch office manager who is apparently untouchable, unapproachable , irreproachable and so then he is constantly let of the hook by much of the media within Scotland (and elsewhere) , especially when his party and his (real) party leader is ever in trouble (now seemingly a situation that is a constant).
Has he, Sarwar, come out to personally either defend or attack his leader at Labour HQ for this leaked memo on devolution yet ?
As yesterday it was reported that “Scottish Labour have defended a leaked memo which shows Keir Starmer instructing MPs in his Cabinet to undermine devolution”.
Honestly anyone who votes Labour within Scotland, in May’s elections, seriously needs to be asked exactly why and also what makes them want to do that ?
As for me, that will always be NO THANKS.
