“That is the mindset of many in the media”

There is also a “mindset” sourced from some of the new alternative British media as well, such as some of those who write articles for the Byline Times.

One example of a British mindset being Otto English, who often writes articles for the Byline Times.

Otto posted this on 2 March on BlueSky.

“Majority of Britons do not support UK involvement in Trump and Netanyahu’s attack on Iran. 58% of Reform voters buck trend”

This was based upon a question in a YouGov poll that asked:

“Do you support or oppose military action that the United States has taken against Iran” ?

The results of this poll that Otto English posted on his Blue Sky account included voters from the following political parties:

Reform UK-Tories-Labour-Lib Dem- Green party (England).

The political party whose voters were not included in this poll was those who vote for the SNP.

Scotland is , I believe, is still a part of Britain, yet I doubt this poll was a British wide poll, as it excluded results from voters of the SNP.

However even those supposed liberal minded thinkers, like Otto English, make the exact same mistake of presenting English opinions as being those that they say represents British opinion and so then they refer to as being the opinions of “Britons”.

BTW if you were to highlight this fact to Otto he would very likely present your very valid , as in pertinent, point as being one that was typically petty and so then typically, as expected, one that came from a typical what ?……….(Nasty) Nat.

Sometimes there is indeed more that unites some the so called liberals with those within the right wing faction of their UK or Britain, where they both seem to always see Britain and Brits as being synonymous with England and the English.

They are both seemingly or deliberately blind too this being an inherent prejudice, as they are English , so they fail to understand how offensive and dismissive this kind of behaviour is to people within Scotland.

That’s why the UK, for Scotland, just does not work on any level.

As if there is only one nation that exists within the UK that dominates all of the media, the politics and every other aspect of the UK/British State, then all of the other nations within the UK will then always be disregarded, disrespected, disappointed, disgruntled, dismissed by those from that one dominant nation.

So then , as other nations, they may eventually all be disobedient, disruptive and so at some point they, the other nations, will then want to distance themselves from that one dominant nation within the UK.

That is not the fault of the other nations, but it is clearly the fault of the dominant nation that, so far, has behaved in a way that only seeks to represent that one dominant nation while wilfully ignoring all of the other nations.

That , as a constant, in the future can surely not continue to be maintained.

In Scotland we only need the “mindset” of more people living within Scotland to “change” , to “reform”, to “advance” , to then be “reset” and so then to “restore” embrace and so then enjoy a “new direction” for them, in the future, as citizens within Scotland and also for Scotland itself.

Yes I have indeed included partial UK political party names and partial slogans of UK parties in my last paragraph, done only to demonstrate how easy it is to apply them , as words , that we can use to help others within Scotland envision a better future for Scotland as an independent nation, minus all of those pro UK political parties and their UK party slogans as in:

“Advance” UK – Ben Habib

“Restore” Britain – Rupert Lowe

“Reform” UK – Nigel Farage

“Change”, “Reset” and “New Direction” – Labour HQ and Labour branch office slogans.
