Media That Disrupts
Thank you but we should not be surprised at BBC.I always thought through Covid she was very calm and doing a very good job in very difficult times.

From BBC Scotland today: ‘the decision to discharge elderly hospital patients to care homes during the first few weeks of the pandemic without a requirement for a negative test was one which hung over Freeman for the rest of her time in politics and beyond. The worst mortality rates were later seen within care homes as the virus spread among vulnerable residents, and it was another month before the guidance on testing was changed.’
How poorly informed are the BBC Scotland journalists that write this stuff?
From: THE COVID-19 INQUIRY: MODULE 6 CLOSING STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE UNITED KINGDOM HEALTH SECURITY AGENCY (September 8, 2025)
See https://covid19.public-inquiry.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/10083604/Closing-Submissions-from-UK-Health-Security-Agency-dated-8-September-2025.pdf )
Para 44. ‘Seven potential routes of ingress of COVID-19 into care homes have been identified. Of these, the extent to which hospital discharge had the effect of seeding the virus in care homes has prompted public concern and rightly been a key issue in this module. Understanding the extent to which different routes might play a role in a future pandemic caused by a respiratory pathogen is important. The Chair may conclude that the best evidence as to the contribution of different routes, including hospital discharge and staff movement, to infection rates in care homes comes from the various research studies undertaken between 2020 and 2022. To assist the Inquiry, these studies and their findings are summarised in the table found at the end of this closing statement.’
Para 48. ‘What can be said with certainty is that no study concluded hospital discharge to be the dominant route of ingress of COVID-19 into care homes. The studies showed a correlation between care home outbreaks and rates of community transmission and that staff living in the community and moving in and out of, and between, settings was an important route of ingress.’
My understanding is that the Covid Inquiry has yet to report on Module 3.

BBC England in Scotland don’t employ journalists, they deploy propagandists in Scotland.

Thank you John and team. RIP Jeanne Freeman.
The BBC is an absolute despicable propaganda unit, an enemy of Scotland, an enemy of the people of Scotland and they are not hiding their blatant bias against the SNP.
What a disgrace to not give Jeanne a decent obituary, not a good look for a supposed unbiased state broadcaster. We all know that the BritNat state does not have the welfare and wellbeing of the people of Scotland in their sites, quite the opposite.

Thank you. Some of the comments on posts about Jeane are so disrespectful.
I don’t know what it will take for Scotland to waken up and smell the coffee instead of merely accepting what Westminster or the media says.
