BBC Scotland today having to travel thousands of miles to the genuinely violent, murderous, USA to get a headline story and a traumatised mother to film for your….paraphilia?

Last September, the Scottish crime figures revealed another fall in the murder rate but it was largely ignored. Imagine, it had gone up. Imagine Jackie Baillie and Anas Sarwar shouting at John Swinney. Sorry, I shouldn’t have asked you to do that.

Now in January, Scotland’s media continue to utterly ignore the murder rate in Scotland falling to the lowest level ever in recorded history and 20% lower than in England and Wales.

Between 2023-24 and 2024-25, recorded crimes of Murder and culpable homicide decreased by 24% from 58 to 44 crimes [8.1 per million]. There was a 27% decrease over the 10 year period between 2015-16 and 2024-25, from 60 to 44 crimes.1

The homicide rate in England and Wales for the year ending March 2025 was 8.8 per one million people, based on 535 homicide offences recorded by the police.2

That 0.7 per million looks small as a decimal number but it represents 51 more murders in England & Wales.

How does this compare with other European countries?

Denmark’s population is 5.97 million, 9.7% greater than Scotland’s 5.44 million.

In 2024/2025, there were 44 murders in Scotland and 48 in Denmark3, 9.1% more than in Scotland.

    Just that ?

    Surely they also have even more to try to hide on behalf of the Labour party …………what with the current scandal on Anas Sarwar’s “old friend” Peter Mandeslon , a scandal that seemingly will not go away…………..any time soon.

    Steve Reed talking about ‘hindsight’ this morning on various Breakfast TV programmes today in relation to the appointment of Mandelson as a UK Ambassador to the US, as if Keir Starmer was totally oblivious to any close friendship Mandelson formerly had with Jeffrey Epstein a convicted paedophile.

    (A friendship that had already been well documented and reported by some newspapers in the UK long before Mandelson was appointed as an Ambassador by Keir Starmer).

    For various Labour sources to now say that Mandelson “lied” is a laughable excuse many within Labour are using in their desperation to try and save Starmer (or save McSweeney) .

    It also does not say much for the British security services in the UK that the public are meant to think they failed to do their job properly in Mandelson’s supposed ‘vetting’ prior to being appointed as a UK Ambassador.

    (Though it was reported that “the security services allegedly shared concerns with Starmer but Mandelson was appointed irrespective”)

    I read this below online today

    “The fact Mandelson was given the opportunity to resign says everything you need to know about this broken Labour government”.

    Indeed it does , but did that not also happen under some various Tory PM’s too , where some government Minister’s were allowed to resign , such as Dominic Raab, Suella Braverman, Gavin Williamson, Matt Hancock, Damien Green, Priti Patel, Michael Fallon and Liam Fox .

    What we are seeing happening here with Labour as the new UK government is a re-enactment of the same kind of things that happened when the Tories were formerly in charge as the various previous Tory UK governments.

    Scandals via individual MP’s and also with the PM and the government:

    A Labour MP (Dan Norris) arrested (again)on rape charges.

    A former Labour government minister (Tulip Siddiq) has now been sentenced to four years in prison for corruption charges by a court in Bangladesh.

    The Labour policies that target the weak and the most vulnerable within the UK.

    The Freebies scandal with the Labour leader , the PM, also implicated.

    Labour Cosying up to the wealthy who donate to their party.

    Labour government U-Turns a plenty after a public backlash.

    A betrayal of various groups like WASPI women and also Scottish workers at Grangemouth.

    Clashing with Doctors in England with the Labour Health Secretary failing to reach a pay and working conditions agreement with them.

    A failure to reduce energy bills for everyone.

    Food prices now still too high as the cost of living crisis continues under Labour in charge.

    Labour cosying up to and defending Israel and Netanyahu while also coming down hard on anyone defending Palestinians.

    Then there has also been the various recent scandals in the Labour branch office in Scotland also……

    The above list is not an exhaustive one and Labour have only been in government since July 2024 , just over 16 months.

    So really there is so so much to try and hide that the BBC in Scotland must be working overtime in trying to communicate #SNPBAD stories and also #ScotlandIsS**** stories too………..all to try and shield Labour during their political hard times (which seems to be a constant ) .

    However for all of the deflection and distraction tactics that the BBC are deploying to try to manipulate voters within Scotland , all just so that we as voters believe that no one in politics is as #BAD as the SNP, that is now clearly, as a tactic, failing miserably ,especially considering Labour’s low position in the polls prior to May’s elections.

    The public were promised “Change” and the public assumed that meant a real “Change” from what had happened when the Tory party were in charge at WM, that supposed “Change” has now been proven to be a false promise. (another one from Labour, very similar to all of the 2014 promises).

    Indeed it is the same old same old with Labour in charge at WM and it it just so infuriating for so many people , who now know that they wasted their vote in 2024 when they voted for Labour……..

    Also now prior to May of this year , we will see that with the media and Labour in Scotland constantly repeating “New Direction” with Labour in Scotland , well that will surely be considered just one Labour slogan too many for the public in Scotland.

    It will , as another new Labour slogan, fall on deaf ears for the majority.

    Labour HQ had one job to do (as in be better than the previous Tory party) when they , Labour, were elected in 2024 and they have blown it…..a botched job that even we on this site could never have imagined just how much of a shambles they would make after they won the UK GE in 2024.

    Now that is something even the BBC cannot hide from us.
