The number of people waiting more than 12 hours in A&E in the country has soared by more than 7000 per cent in a decade, the party said, with waits over four, eight and 12 hours the second worst since records began. Since 2016, waits longer than 12 hours increased by 7354 per cent – from 988 cases to 74,393 – according to its analysis of Public Health Scotland figures.

Why have they done these utterly daft percentages based on just adding up over 9 years when they could have told us something really important and newsworthy – is it getting better or worse? Are there more or less folk having to wait 12 or more hours in A&E? Well you know why they didn’t. It’s because their faces fell when they looked at that.
From the latest data published today – In 2024, 78 114 waited 12 or more hours and in 2025, it was 67 6581, more than 10 000, 12.7%, fewer in just one year!
I’ve no idea where they got different figures but you can check mine at the sources below.
Finally, if we’re going to play Primary 6 maths games, how does that 7 354% compare with NHS England? Not well. Between 25 000% and 50 000% more waited 12 or more hours there, since 2016, depending on sources and varying practice in NHS England so 3 to 7 times greater. 2, 3, 4

A clown who takes a lucrative sum of £’s from the public purse though for lying, these people should be sacked for lying, instead they are rewarded for it.
I signed a petition last week about England’s energy rip off, and zonal pricing etc…the absolute twisting and tweaking of the facts in responses from the Labour MP’s and pretendy Scottish Labour MSP’s (saying same thing) quite clever really, for those not in the know about their lies.
I told em where to shove their lies, well, I calmly told them to stop their lying to the people of Scotland…I find their pro UK, pro England, anti Scottish peoples’ wellbeing to be utterly abhorrent. They don’t care if folks sit freezing in energy rich Scotland, and they are all for forcing nuclear onto Scotland, and tell us that Scotland could not manage without England’s money for anything including renewables infrastructure etc. ‘Too poor’.
The Labcons’ word gymnastics is off the freaking scale. Grrr.
