That ‘Scottish’ Daily Express?

By Liz S

Is this same Daily Express (drop the ‘Scottish’ part) that was reported as those who:

consistently and heavily criticized the SNP’s “Named Person” scheme, often referring to it as an “Orwellian,” “totalitarian” “state guardian” or “snoopers’ charter”.

Flip Flop Journalism also , where black becomes white and then we see that anything , indeed everything, is consistently to be disagreed with and so then condemned within Scotland especially when it is something that is generated from the Scottish government under the SNP.

How many times does the gutter press contradict themselves just to get one over on someone…….they are consistently wrong, deliberately misleading, totally politically partisan, utterly toxic and they lack any accountability and responsibility for their terrible front page headlines produced to incite rage in certain types of people and also to mislead people with their fake ( supposed real ) news.

The Daily Express , this is the ‘newspaper’ that endorsed Liz Truss in the Tory leadership elections in 2022………so maybe they are not best equipped to judge anyone else then , as look at how her tenure as PM worked out….disaster.

Here is some of their, Express’s, more hateful , misleading and distasteful past front page headlines to either try to mislead (con) people or incite hate and rage in some certain types of people:

“Germans declare war on our £” (incite hate and rage and misleading people).

“Put faith in Truss to deliver for Britain” (mislead people aka conning them).

“One in 5 Britons will be ethnics” (incite hate and rage).

“500,000 migrants get social housing” (incite hate and rage).

“92% want to quit the EU” (incite hate and rage and mislead people)

“Fury over Britain’s 2m illegal immigrants” (incite hate and rage)

“EU wants migrants to take our jobs” (incite hate and rage and misleading people).

“Migrants take all new jobs in Britain” (incite hate and rage and misleading people).

“Migrants milking Britain’s Benefits” (incite hate and rage and misleading people).

“SNP accused of putting votes ahead of Scot’s Jews safety” (incite hate and rage and misleading people).

“Sturgeon’s ‘crocodile tears’ at Covid Indy grilling” (incite hate and rage and misleading people).

“FM’s links with vile CyberNat Trolls” – picture of Nicola Sturgeon (incite hate and rage and misleading people).

This above is just a small taste of some of the vile, inciteful and widely off the mark front page headlines from this rag , the Express , that has consistently always tried to manipulate and deceive readers into believing their tripe that they present as their version of (fake) news………as if they are ever in a place where they can judge others.

Not an actual newspaper but more like Trolls , whose job it is , as Trolls, is for them to try to target all people with whom their various owners, past and present, either want to be destroyed or removed from their UK State (England) and their other (obvious) mission is to promote those right wing politicians and right wing parties who their owners, past and present, support and in some cases even donate to politically.

(Their former owner, Richard Desmond, donated money to the Tory party, indeed there was a scandal involving him and the then Tory Housing Secretary , Robert Jenrick , on a tax matter that would be financially beneficial for Desmond. (read up on it online).

If you ever really want to “Read all about it” , as in read real news, then do not buy or read the non Scottish Daily Express as that is where truth goes to die on their pages ………..basically they are just Trolls who are trolling all of those ‘readers’ either stupid enough to buy their rag or who are those who are like minded and so who then buy their rag of a paper just to reinforce their own bias , wrong thinking and lack of rational thought.

We neither need nor want any input into our Scottish politics or upon our country from the likes of these S**** Hawks aka S*** stirrers.

  1. Low number of children in care. Falling. Kinship payment mean children stay within the family. Better care.

No council tax. Educational grants. Foster care until 18 years. Assured accommodation and support.

  2. There are 10,000 children in ‘care’ in Scotland. Although the permanent number would be lower. A child in care for 24 hours is included in the statistics. Many will remain within the family. Decided who to stay with etc. grandparents. Kinship payments. Fostered £710 a week payment. Many good foster homes. Children have been abused in care. Rules have been tightened up. Children listened to. Greater intervention.

The ‘named person’ would have helped, especially in any emergency. The authorities come together. Schools are on high alert for any abuse. Part of their job. Report to the authorities. Social work get involved. To decide what is best for the child.

  3. Indeed, Paul Jeeves, the Leeds based ‘journalist’ who wrote this for the Daily Express, makes no reference whatever to Scotland – It is an article about England, but some asinine editor covering Scotland decided to splatter it across the front page of the Scottish edition, presumably to stir the political shit – The article from MSN  https://archive.ph/GJlfJ

  4. I noted yesterday that the BBC website had not just one but two articles on the Nurse Sandie Peggie, where one was headlined as:

Partial victory for nurse in NHS trans changing room row”

The BBC website still has this story on their main UK page, on their main Scotland page and also two separate articles on it in their Scottish Politics page and also on the Edinburgh Fife & East page from yesterday .

The other article on this story on the BBC website is headed:

“Why Sandie Peggie ruling could lead to big changes for employers”

(So if Peggie’s case could do that here in Scotland then with a similar result in England via the Darlington Nurses then I assume that the same thing would apply in England with “big changes for employers” there also).

The first article on the BBC website upon this story on Peggie’s ‘partial’ victory starts like this:

“A nurse who objected to sharing a female changing room with a transgender doctor has won a claim for harassment against NHS Fife but other allegations of discrimination and victimisation were dismissed

Also later in the article it stated “However, Ms Peggie’s claims of discrimination and victimisation by NHS Fife did not succeed and were dismissed, as was her claim against Dr Upton”

We then get ‘analysis’ in the article by the BBC’s Lynsey Bews, of course we do.

She writes “The political debate over gender identity has been raging in Scotland for years. Often it’s felt a bit abstract or theoretical even. But the Sandie Peggie case has presented a very tangible example of real life conflict over this issue”.

(Well has it also been “raging in England” with another “case that has presented a very tangible example” as in the Darlington Nurses, exact same type of case surely).

Also Bews states “But rather than the slam dunk many anticipated, Ms Peggie’s victory is a narrow one, with a win on process rather than substance. In fact, the ruling states that the Supreme Court judgment does not make it “inherently” unlawful or lawful for a transwoman to have permission to use a female changing room at work. That result gives some cover for Scottish ministers, who’ve insisted they’re waiting for updated statutory guidance from the equalities watchdog”.

So then the result of the Darlington Nurses Tribunal I assume will also be presented as either a “blow for” or will “give some cover to UK Government Ministers” depending on the outcome of it.

MSM Monitor posted this on ‘X’ yesterday:

“Significant ruling from the Sandie Peggie tribunal that we haven’t heard mentioned. Looks like Peggie’s anti-trans backers lost on every key count. This case wasn’t a partial win, as the BritNat media is claiming, it was a thumping loss. Darlington may well rule the same”.

He then added one ruling via the Tribunal which stated:

“In our view having read all of the documents , there is very far from sufficient evidence to establish as a fact that a trans woman who is legally and biologically male is a greater risk to any person assigned female at birth within a changing room environment at a workplace than another woman assigned female at birth”.

This story on Peggie is the 6th article on the main UK page on the BBC website, but I did note recently when the Darlington Nurses story was on the BBC website that it never crossed over onto the BBC website’s Scottish pages but remained within the main UK and English pages. (of course it did).

So not just one article upon this via the BBC website as they felt they had to milk it and so do two articles upon it.

(I did also note on the main Scotland page there is another two mentions of this story, one in the section ‘video playlist’ and the other in the section ‘News from around Scotland‘).

So the BBC gets to decide what they determine should be considered as a prominent and significant story (that they then often politicise) and so then they determine what stories they will over promote and what stories they will downplay or ignore , all dependent on what, how and who it impacts in either a negative or a positive way, politically that is.

I think we all know who falls into each of these categories , as in who are often placed in a negative light and alternatively who gets to be seen in a positive light, with the BBC .

That’s the problem with the BBC, no political impartiality as when in Scotland they , the BBC, always side with UK political parties, in fact many of their #SNPBAD articles and reports are sourced from them, be it speculation, opinions or FOI requests .

In fact one recent Tory FOI request formed the basis of a BBC article that then had to be corrected and clarified in their BBC Corrections and Clarifications section that noted this :

“We initially published an article with the headline “Over £1m spent on sending Scottish ferry staff to Turkey” which some readers felt was misleading” (it was not just misleading but totally inaccurate).

“While there was no intention to mislead, we subsequently changed the headline to: “Over £1m spent on Scottish ferry staff working in Turkey” and the opening paragraph to read: “More than £1m has been spent on CalMac and CMAL staff working to oversee the construction of four new ferries in Turkey, a freedom of information request has revealed.” We felt this better reflected the overall story.

We are happy to provide this clarification”

(They left out the part where the FOI request was via the Tory party, whose intention I am sure it was to try to “mislead” on how they presented it to the BBC, who then failed to clarify, as in check, if it was correct and so they, the BBC, just ran with the story………..as is).

Why “change the headline” unless is was inaccurate as opposed to just supposedly “misleading”, I mean this hardly a full retraction or an apology from the BBC is it, more rather the BBC caught out again being a tad too creative with their spin on yet another #SNPBAD story, as part of the never ending media and political #ScottishFerries saga, with this one sourced from an opposition party to the SNP.

The BBC will never change, so thank God then that we and others can change….channels.……… to an alternative to the BBC News and also their other heavily politicised programmes. (though other UK -English- news programmes via other UK-English channels are no better really , especially when it comes to reporting upon Scotland and it’s politics).

    1. The Daily Express (drop the ‘Scottish’ part of the title) missed out the “partial” bit in their fake headline upon the Sandie Peggie story when on their front page they declared:

“Victory for changing room Trans row Nurse Sandie”

That’s a very small victory (with a small ‘v’) as in partial , you useless Idiots……and also supreme peddlers of hate and fake news which is their speciality as opposed to actual (honest) ‘journalism’…….which is far removed as a reality from their so called ‘newspaper’…..a mere front for pumping out hateful right wing propaganda.

#FakeNews………..again………no surprise there….I mean it is the Express after all………so that’s to be expected…..always.

(It’s also on the front page of their English edition, not the main story but prominent enough on the top part of the front page , with her picture included…).

As if they care about anything or anyone. (apart from their various owners , past and present, bank balance).
