I’m pretty sure this will be headlined on the BBC and Reporting Scotland or perhaps not after all that would upset their editorial agenda. A ‘War zone’ ??? surely not in England.

Talking of damp squibs….
Rupert Lowe has posted this today on ‘X’.
“Average time to answer a call for HMRC’s Self Assessment helpline in the latest year? 23:40“.
And for the Universal Credit helpline? 2.15“.
” I’ve been dragging these numbers out of departments, and the stats certainly tell their own story about modern Britain’s warped priorities. It’s a piss-take, to be frank”
“Try running a business and at the same time attempting to contact HMRC? They just expect we can down tools for 30 minutes to sit on hold? No. Not possible. It’s ludicrous”.
“Working men and women treated like dirt, again. I’ve formally asked the Chancellor to implement a full review of HMRC helplines, putting customer service at the very top of the agenda. Because these stats just sum the country up“
First of all , the way too ambitious Rupert Lowe , who was ousted from Reform UK , talks about “Britain’s warped priorities” where as we, as reluctant citizens of his British State, are all expected to just listen to , then meekly accept and so willingly condone his, Lowe’s, “warped priorities” as an obnoxious MP……same mould (both versions of the word are apt) as John Redwood as in the ‘Who speaks for England’ spiel aka complete bloody nonsense.
He sees business people as being worthy of prompt attention via a HMRC Helpline, while other people , who are desperate and so greatly in need, are somehow, according to him, unworthy of getting prompt attention and so a quick response via another customer service helpline.
“Working men and women” aka Business people…..not treated “like dirt” at all , as he states, just not given the preferential treatment that Rupert thinks they should have……..rules for them and rules for other non business people.
I would say Rupert Lowe yet again “sums up the country” that he wants to see , which is one where the rich, like him, get richer while the poorer people within the British State are once again made aware of knowing their place within Rupert’s British society…..and that includes the poorer people getting a substandard customer service compared to a higher standard of service being made available to wealthier business people.
Rupert Lowe is the MP for Great Yarmouth which “is officially recognised as an area with significant levels of deprivation in the UK as of 2025, with several of its neighbourhoods ranking among the most deprived in England“.
However Great Yarmouth constituents need not worry as Rupert is hard at work …..for the business people that may be within his constituency and indeed in others areas within Britain too….. though really his only concern is for England actually….
As to any families living in the deprived areas of Rupert’s constituency well Rupert , as their MP, is doing his best to make sure that if any of them are on low wages and so are in receipt of Universal Credit , as in any “working men and women” in his constituency, he hopes that eventually the Universal Credit Helpline for them will begin to “treat them like dirt” and so will provide a second class service to them compared to the HMRC’s Self Assessment helpline giving first class service to business people.
This kind of attitude and opinion is typical of Rupert Lowe….he seems as if he is on a perpetual quest to seek out grievances anywhere and everywhere……especially if he thinks poorer working class people are being given , what he sees as , an undeserved advantage over more affluent people…..like say Business people.
I always thought that when one referred to “working men and women” it was working class people as in blue collar workers…..
But it seems that in Rupert’s world it is not, as he is seeking more advantages for white collar professional people…….mind you his other grievance is Immigrants……where he also posted today that:
“The British want mass deportations, and the British want their country back”…..
Well as I am not British minded or indeed supportive of it as a State , I can say that I do not want “mass deportations” of immigrants, but I would like my real country, Scotland , back as an independent country and so no longer a part of Rupert’s British State………
However if people like Rupert could be deported en masse from the British State before then , I would also be very very supportive of that.
Honestly this guy Rupert is absolutely unbearable.

Sneaking this one in………no one will see it anyway………but I will .
Rupert Lowe posted this today
“I have been selected to ask Starmer a question next week at PMQs… What do you think I should ask him” ?
Well how about asking this ?
‘Prime Minister, why do you think that I Rupert Lowe , was elected last year by the constituents of Great Yarmouth, , when I am so very obviously, as a person and as an MP, abso-bloody-lutely Unbearable’?
Starmer should be spoilt for choice in attempting to answer that enigma………
