MSM Monitor posted this on ‘X’ in respect to the BBC Sunday show:
“The Sunday Show lined up Douglas Alexander and Margaret Curran to follow John Swinney’s conference interview. Two hard-line Labour BritNats. Alexander launched into multiple SNPBad attacks with zero challenge. There were no SNP voices on during the Labour conference. None”
Curran another Labour Dinosaur and also historically a failed MP , who was , like others, one who was (eventually) parachuted , in January 2025 , into the HOL.
An action that Sir Keir Starmer assumed was acceptable to do (though did he really care on it’s acceptability as an act), also based I assume, upon Labour winning an additional 36 MP’s in Scotland to join their measly one MP, Ian Murray, in the 2024 UK GE.
Curran lost her seat , that is she was rejected by voters in Scotland in the UK GE in 2015…..but that means nowt to Labour , as just like the Tory party, a politician rejected by the people is then seen as being ideal to be ‘parachuted into the multi UK party Honours system that is the political VIP lane’ i.e. those ex UK party MP’s tactically placed into the HOL’s.
Breaking news via BBC Scotland Sunday show:
‘The Labour UK government’s man against Scotland Douglas Alexander and a Labour Peer Baroness Curran, as those in opposition to the SNP, both declare #SNPBAD’……hardly shocking or surprising as political non news…..just really the BBC in Scotland yet again giving another opportunity to a pro UK party to diss the SNP while not giving that same opportunity to the SNP during the Labour party conference .
A Labour party conference where Anas Sarwar sat in the front row of that Labour party conference and he also gave a speech at that conference…..so surely that was worth asking an SNP MSP or our FM to opine on what Sarwar said in that speech…..which I am sure was full of the usual #SNPBAD non facts.
(In fact didn’t the BBC publicise what Sarwar said in his Labour Conference party speech in a online article…yes they did – their headline was “Sarwar says ‘knackered’ SNP has run out of ideas” and there was no analysis in that article from Glenn Campbell and no comments sourced from any SNP politician).
As to John Swinney’s speech we have Glenn Campbell the hostile BBC Political editor giving an “analysis” where he Campbell , as per, includes comments from a Tory MSP and also a Labour MSP …..
Rachel Hamilton Tory MSP – who decided to be ironic in her take being “the SNP had “lost all credibility”……where as the Tory party ………look at the polls Rachel (and the results of last years UK GE)………….now that is ‘lost credibility’ in a party, surely.
She also said , also with no sense of irony , that:
“The SNP showed themselves in their true colours at this debate, ludicrously labelling the same old obsession with independence ‘a fresh start’”……….
While Rachel and her Tory party obsess about the UK State being sustained….and so they show their “true colours” (Red, White and blue….with the red and white dominating) in all debates, in them “ludicrously labelling” that Scotland is ‘Better Together’ with the rest of the UK………which has now been disproven as something that they was once wrongly declared to be factual….as now everything for Scotland has gone down (down down) since 2014………all because Scotland is still a part of their UK State.
Then Neil Bibby Labour MSP , also Labour in Scotland’s ‘constitution’ spokesman (for the UK) , described the vote ( the plan to declare a mandate for a second independence referendum, if the party wins a majority of seats in next year’s Holyrood election) as a “waste of time” and called on the SNP to address concerns over Scotland’s public services.
Well Bibby would say that what with him having seen the polling for his party, Labour, in Scotland (and elsewhere in the UK)….where the majority of the Scottish public seem to consider that to vote Labour is now a “waste of time” next year in the Scottish elections…….
Also how are the “public services” in England & Wales doing ?
As according to recent polling it seems to be a case of the public lacking all confidence in the Labour party as governments.
As in within both nations, England & Wales, we are now seeing that Labour are trailing in the polls…….so hardly an endorsement or a display of public confidence in Labour as governments, or them being seen as successful in how they are managing the public services in both Nations (England & Wales) as Labour governments….is it Mr Bibby ?
In fact it seems as if in England and in Wales the public have “concerns” on Labour’s ability to govern well…….or indeed be able to manage the “public services” well also.
Glenn also included some comment from Kenny MacAskill of the Alba party….who now , as a party, have no MP’s nor do they have an MSP any longer either , as Ash Regan resigned from the Alba party and she intends to stand as an ‘independent’………well for now that is…..who knows where her career ambition will lead her……….next.
However Glenn Campbell included Kenny’s comments as he , Campbell, thinks that ‘every little bit helps’ (as in all #SNPBAD comments) as in helps the BBC in their quest to try to destroy the SNP as a party and also to try to destroy more support for Scottish independence …..aided of course by others within politics who are all on the same side as Glenn and his employers the BBC.
Let’s be honest Bibby could have told Glenn that ‘John Swinney ate my Hamster’ and that would be accepted as being factual and true………..by the BBC and Glenn.
BBC Scotland employees do not want to question or challenge the non facts as stated by pro UK politicians against the SNP………or indeed do they seem to want to do any research on the misinformation spewed out by opposition politicians against the Scottish government……that’s why they, BBC Scotland news teams, often have starring roles in the section that is ….BBC’s corrections and clarifications……..
Speaking of which ………..this was recorded recently in that BBC section……..
“The Sunday Show
BBC Radio Scotland, 31 August 2025
“In the introduction to our item on drug related deaths in Scotland, we incorrectly stated that the figure for 2023 was ‘1,339’. This was the figure for 2020. The figure for 2023 is 1,172 and we’re happy to correct the record“
08/10/2025
“we’re happy to correct the record” ?
“Happy”……..not really an appropriate word under the circumstances….also it seemed to many , who complained about this lie when it was first broadcast by the BBC, that the BBC Sunday show was also only too “happy” to give out the incorrect (lie) (mis)information in August 2025 without checking first whether it was correct………..where also it was then 5 weeks later that this ‘error’ then appeared on the BBC’s corrections and clarifications page.
Note the BBC would not have had to “correct the record” at all if only they had first checked the information was 100% correct prior to them broadcasting it as factual news….but then some of us suspect there is a ‘method to the BBC’s constant error prone madness’ in them constantly broadcasting misinformation……
Funny how yet again a BBC Scotland political news ‘error’ is one that disadvantages the SNP as the Scottish government………that’s what happens when the BBC bases most of their political news in Scotland upon the misinformation (lies) they receive from pro UK political parties aka opposition parties to the SNP…………
Then it also proves that they, the BBC, do not check (research fully) whether that information they receive is indeed correct and so is then 100% factual and also then 100% accurate as information/stats etc etc…….so that being the case you then do begin to wonder just how many lies have been broadcast on the BBC Scotland News programmes that was, at the time, not identified by viewers as being political news that was totally incorrect so were actually lies and misinformation.
So then as missed lies and misinformation they are then sustained and so seen, by the viewers who watched and heard that news at the time, as then still being assumed to be true and factual in the supposed ‘news where we are’ ……….
Quite scary really and yet that’s how the BBC always seem to roll here in Scotand……as a not fit for purpose British news media within Scotland…where they occupy Scotland as a hostile British news force who only work on behalf of the UK State…..and so they then also support all of the UK State political parties over the SNP as a party……that’s why so much news they promote is incorrect.
Once you are identified as being a news source that consistently promotes misinformation then it should really be ‘Game over”…. as you, as a news organisation, should never again be trusted or believed in the future……..I think that the BBC in Scotland , via their news output, has won the title of most ‘Untrustworthy news source’ with a multitude of examples to verify that as a fact.

‘there was no analysis in that article from Glenn Campbell’
Is it possible to inform and educate an electorate by providing objective, impartial, evidence-rich analysis of political parties and their policies, and their track record in government?
The commercial mainstream media may well have corporate – money motivated – agendas that make the foregoing question irrelevant.
But what of a public service organisation like the BBC? It may indeed be feasible to deliver on the above, BUT the BBC fails miserably in Scotland.
It chooses to fail; it is motivated to fail, to NOT properly inform in an objective, impartial, evidence-rich manner the electorate in Scotland.
This is the same BBC whose hubris internationally and domestically concerning the ethical, quality standards of its journalism knows no bounds!

I know its BBC but watched it last night the part about drugs in Inverness is interesting as they say there is 10 county line gangs there mainly from Liverpool,I am only posting this as another example that you will not hear the likes of Campbell tell this on MSM.Worth a look if only the drug sections.
I have always thought when BBC tell lies the FM should call them out with no holds barred even if he gets a bad press as we get that anyway.

“County line gangs there (in Inverness) mainly from Liverpool“
That’s one of the ‘external significant factors’ that is a key omission that the BBC news teams in Scotland are trying to exclude as part of their reports in the ‘News where we are’ , that is , whenever they , BBC Scotland news teams , report on anything that is related to Drugs within Scotland.
We all know that the only conclusion the BBC Scotland News teams wants the Scottish public to have is that it is the Scottish government who are the ones to blame for all drug deaths here within Scotland.
As it is always presented as the Scottish government mismanaging this , so then the media and all of the UK opposition parties get to say that the Scottish government, or rather they say it is the SNP , who are not dealing with this problem effectively.
The UK as a State , via most of the UK mainstream and the rogue media, all rogue UK political parties (that includes Labour & the Tories) and also certain members of the public are all consumed with a huge obsession to ‘protect their UK aka English borders’ from those (Immigrants) who they say come to the UK (English shores) only to commit crime……….
Yet ironically the border between Scotland & England , where both are a part of the UK State, is allowing English County line drug gangs to come from England across the border to Scotland to……….commit crimes.
However the media and the UK politicians here in Scotland do not want to emphasise that or indeed even note that it is a ‘border issue’ for Scotland……..
I suspect they are, as a media and as UK politicians, still wanting to play this ‘No borders’ card within the UK State……..and also they both want the fall guys in this to be seen as being the Scottish government , as currently run by the SNP.
Drugs in Scotland are politicised just like everything else is within Scotland ………where as elsewhere within the UK , as in with any problems, issues ,concerns and scandals , well they are never linked to , or to be seen as , the sole fault or responsibility of other governments elsewhere within the UK State….
An example being any NHS issues aka scandals in England are blamed as , or seen as, being the responsibility of the respective NHS Trusts or the fault of the individual Hospital……..that is any preventable or unexplained deaths in English Hospitals are then blamed, not upon the UK government or the UK (English) Health Secretary, but are solely blamed upon , and so seen as , being the responsibility of the respective NHS Trust or Hospital , as in where any of these preventable or unexplainable deaths have occurred………
Meanwhile in Scotland we see headlines like this in relation to deaths in a Scottish Hospital……
On 27 May 2021 the BBC Website had this headline:
“Hospital child infection deaths ‘biggest scandal of devolution era'”
How and why ?
Well within the text of that BBC article the source for that BBC website headline was…..
“Mr Sarwar told the Scottish Parliament that the infections at the Glasgow hospital campus were the “biggest scandal of the devolution era“.
Meanwhile in January 2025 in respect to a scandal within England’s NHS there was a BBC headline that stated………
“Deaths of 56 babies at Leeds hospitals may have been preventable, BBC told”
Within the text of that BBC article it stated:
“The deaths of at least 56 babies, and two mothers, at an NHS trust over the past five years may have been prevented, the BBC has found”.
“The BBC obtained data from the trust showing potentially preventable baby deaths through a Freedom of Information request”.
These deaths are tragic for these families………and if they were preventable then yes indeed an investigation does need to be done and then steps should be taken and procedures should be adopted to avoid further deaths of this nature in the future….but to constantly politicise these deaths and so to try and score political points against a political opponent, just to try an gain a political advantage , is the lowest of the low and also it will not address what the real problem is and where the true responsibility lies……..
So playing the constant political NHS ‘Blame game’ is tacky and it then also becomes too obvious as to why it is being done within politics by certain ‘tacky politicians’ within Scotland…….but with these same specific politicians always doing that constantly, it then also exposes to the public where their real focus and concerns lie as politicians………not on the grieving families or those who have died………but instead purely on their own assumed political gain to be achieved (they think) by them, in them always politically weaponising these tragic events.
Families whose loved ones die in these circumstances want real answers and real solutions , they do not want their grief and loss to be a weapon for a political party to attack another political party who are in charge as a government (just to try and gain a hoped for or an assumed political advantage)……….
However Sarwar’s first instinct is always to utilise all NHS deaths like this within Scotland as a political weapon that he chooses to use against the SNP…………while similar deaths elsewhere within the UK State , as in where Labour (or others) govern, is only ever to be seen as the fault of the respective NHS Trust or individual hospital.
I do hope that more people within Scotland also see this and are also repulsed by Anas Sarwar’s political opportunism that is taking advantage of a bereaved family’s loss and grief, to then make a party political broadcast against his main opponents in Scotland….the SNP.
Shocking behaviour but then also typical of the Labour party.
These families and their loved ones who lost their lives deserve so much more than someone ‘playing politics’ on their sad loss….like more honesty, more real answers and more solutions, as in to find a way in the future for these deaths, that are identified as being preventable deaths, to then never ever happen again to others……
(That also includes Drug deaths in Scotland………and elsewhere within the UK State as well )
