Unless I attract only the poor, 80% of 1500 Tus subscribers could afford at least £5 but only at best 17% have. Then there’s the thousands not subscribed to Tus but following on FB, x and Bsky.
At it every day, 74 and fading, with helpers to pay and getting fed up and demoralised.
If you’re not in the 20% most disadvantaged but don’t think the subscription is worth paying anything for, please unsubscribe.

As an appreciative donater I feel for you John. Could you possibly approach some of the big names in Indy and ask them to promote/support your fundraiser? I’m thinking Lesley Riddoch, BiS, etc.

I appreciate your support.
My football manager rant has worked a bit today.

What about trying the price of a cuppa donation option you see on lots of blogs now for people who won’t read regularly but who might show appreciation for a particular post? Mind I’m not sure how successful this is or how easy to set up, might be worth checking out though? This link might help you see what to do mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#inbox/FMfcgzQcpdhjbxBGkpmsfQmxLlTwbtMS

I think people are generally good but often just don’t get around to helping out. They’ll never miss the water till the well runs dry eh..
Having read your articles and watched you on The Scotland Channel I overcame my inertia and made a contribution. I urge everyone who can, but hasn’t, coughed up a couple of quid to find you on The Scotland Channel on YouTube and hear your excellent commentary. Perhaps then they’ll see that, on top of the fantastic work you do, you’re a thorough decent guy and work only to promote all the great things happening in Scotland. Without you’ll we’ll be stuck with the lies and omissions served up by the BBC and the establishment press.
I hope we’ll catch up one day.

Hi John
Very kind, much appreciated
If you’re in Ayr one day, let me know and we might get a coffee or pint somewhere in the town.

I have tried to set up a monthly Standing Order but my bank needs to know is it a business or personal account? and also the precise name of the account? I cannot do this without this information. I like many others will not contribute via fee-hungry Crowd Funder. You need to make it easier to donate by providing this information.

I’ve had one or two donations that way to Sort code 08-91-04, Account 12266421 without the name but it’s MR JW ROBERTSON
Thanks

Hi I’ve been trying to contribute to your crowd funder but when I click on the link and try to open the page it immediately shuts down. This happens on Google Chrome and Duck Duck Go

With respect John, Scots are averse to a %age being creamed off by such as crowdfunder, however much good they do – So the direct account transfer is a shrewd move – I only subscribed recently because I couldn’t read one of your posts otherwise – No offence intended John but I’d happily unsubscribe just to get rid of the bloody emails – I’ll send another ‘bung’ direct when the pension lands up, your work is much appreciated…

Having a ‘Buy me a coffee’ option, payable via PAYPAL may be a useful option (removes need for card details)
