From Recorded Crime in Scotland: year ending June 2025 published yesterday (plain text), Crime in England and Wales: year ending March 2025 published on 24 July 2025 (italics) and my comments (bold):
The Police in Scotland recorded 303,343 crimes in the year ending June 2025. This was 1% higher than the 300,078 crimes recorded in the year ending June 2024, and 1% higher than the 300,747 crimes recorded in the year ending June 2021.
In England and Wales, 9.4 million incidents of CSEW headline crime, a 7% increase compared with YE March 2024 survey (8.8 million incidents); CSEW headline crime includes theft, robbery, criminal damage, fraud, computer misuse, and violence with or without injury
All things being equal, with 11 times the population, England and Wales might have been expected to have around 3.3 million crimes but had 9.4 million, nearly THREE times as many.
In Scotland, non-sexual crimes of violence were 1% higher compared to the year ending June 2024 (increasing from 71,349 to 71,915 crimes), and 12% higher compared to the year ending June 2021 (increasing from 64,080 to 71,915 crimes).
In England and Wales, violence with or without injury. There were 1,103,000 incidents
All things being equal, with 11 times the population, England and wales might have been expected to have around 790 000 crimes of violence but had 1.1 million, nearly 40% more.
In Scotland, sexual crimes were 5% higher compared to the year ending June 2024 (increasing from 14,417 to 15,129 crimes), and 9% higher compared to the year ending June 2021 (increasing from 13,939 to 15,129 crimes).
In England and Wales, there have been general increases in police recorded sexual offences over the last decade, largely because of improvements in police recording practices. There was an 11% increase in YE March 2025 (to 209,556 offences), compared with the previous year (188,627 offences).
All things being equal, with 11 times the population, England and wales might have been expected to have around 160 000 crimes of violence but had 209 000, around 30% more.
Is this not the news and if so why?

It would be interesting to see how much racial crimes have increased in England considering their new found passion for putting the flag of St George everywhere and painting roundabouts and buildings with the same emblem.

The rise in recorded sex crimes is probably due to the fact that victims are more likely to report such things, partly because there is more general public support for reporting, partly because the approach of Police Scotland to people reporting alleged sex crimes and, partly because of a greater conviction rate.
The number of successful high profile cases, such as those involving ‘celebrities’ getting a lot of publicity and the courage of some victims to waive anonymity and tell their stories will have had a positive effect on public attitudes.
Whether there are more crimes of a sexual nature is difficult to ascertain, but the greater willingness to report such assaults is welcome.

Rising crime in England might be contained or even reduced if the police took action against those who incite people to break the law and then give succour to those rioting in their streets attacking innocent people .

Half the people in prison are neurodiverse. Without the correct support. Half should be in rehab. Addicted to drink or drugs. Most crime is committed while under the influence of drink or drugs. The Scottish Gov are funding proper rehab facilities. £250Million over five years. More proper rehab facilities are opening up.
Crime is a gender issue. There are 7,000 men in prison. 200 females.
MUP policies are saving people lives.

Well the original article was entitled:
“If I die, it’s your fault’ – the patients angry at GP delays”
Included in this article was this “The trade union also points to GP recruitment targets not being met, high vacancy rates and an increasing workload for doctors”.
Then yesterday news was released that “In August 2025, Scotland saw a 4% increase in it’s full time equivalenet (FTE) GP workforce, reaching its highest level since before the pandemic“.
Of course this did not warrant an new article on the BBC website….instead they have added on an ‘analysis piece’ to their original (#SNPBAD) article on the 25 August that says the opposite……how sneaky and yet so predictable of the BBC.
So the analysis they have added onto this is by Lisa Summers their so called Scottish Health Correspondent’ aka another #SNPBAD correspondent on BBC Scotland News team.
She states this….
“It is a positive sign that the total number of GPs in Scotland has gone up and the government will hope that this trend continues”.
“But the latest data suggests the first minister’s promise to tackle the early morning lottery for GP appointments will still be a challenge”.
“But”…there is always a “But” , a “However”, a “opposition parties say” or “Some critics say” or even “the Trade Union says” ….whenever there is any good or positive news linked to Scotland or especially if , that good news or positivity, is linked to the Scottish government.
Summers then goes onto to a historical promise made by the FM which she thinks will still be a challenge (so her opinion)….as she writes:
“In 2017, the government pledged that by 2027 it would increase the GP workforce by 800. That figure, which includes those who may work part-time, has so far only increased by 197″
Summers seems determined, in her supposed analysis , to undermine this good and positive news on GP’s increasing in Scotland….with a ‘aye, but your still probably not going to meet the target you pledged”…….
(Remember with Scotland there is never any circumstances that apparently have an impact upon us, as a country, that prevents targets our government have set being met or performances being impacted in Scotland)….
However both the various UK governments and too the Welsh Labour government….well with them , there are always mitigating circumstances, Global events etc that then apparently effect their targets being met and their respective performances being impacted on their public services…but apparently this is never ever the case for Scotland or it’s government…well according to the media that is….especially and more so the BBC in Scotland.
(Also how many targets , promises and pledges have Keir Starmer, Anas Sarwar and the Labour party made that they have not met or fulfilled…..indeed their targets/promises/pledges have failed and also been broken way too many times….that it is now beyond embarrassing , seems in fact to be a habit with them…….. and yet somehow that’s no big deal for the BBC in Scotland….maybe they , the BBC here, should begin to forensically analyse that consistent failure by other parties, especially now with Labour).
Summer then continues in her #SNPBAD analysis with…..
“So there is a way to go to meet the ten-year target. And doctors say funding is an issue too” .
So she, Summers, is just piling on more and more negativity thus she is trying to generate uncertainty and a lack of confidence in the public towards the Scottish government on this topic…..
So then this good news on GP’s increasing in Scotland is lost in a ‘pile on’ of words by a BBC propagandist , whose main purpose in her supposed ‘analysis’ is to try to detract from it being received as good news by the Scottish public, and also as it then being regarded as progress.
The BBC in Scotland …..is where any good news goes to die…..but only when it is good news on Scotland or the Scottish government…and it is the BBC in Scotland who kills it off…as good news….every time.

GMS presenter Gary Robertson asked if asylum seekers being housed in hotels are getting an advantage that the “indigenous population” isn’t getting. When asked what he means by ‘indigenous population’, Robertson replies “those born here”. Robertson later apologised for “clumsy language”. This isn’t clumsy language. It’s racist language. That Robertson thought it just ‘clumsy’ suggests he should be nowhere near a BBC microphone”…..
In legitimising Reform UK’s and Farage’s arguments the BBC at last showing their true position on why they platform both, as a party and him, Farage, as an individual……
No need to ask why people are thinking of voting Reform UK when your so called National broadcaster, the BBC, is using the same arguments and language against Migrants and it is offensive language to try to demonise and alienate theses Migrants….as in Asylum seekers….with the public.
The BBC , one of the most offensive broadcasters our country , Scotland, is subjected to as a extremely hostile force , whose main mission in Scotland is only to try to stop us seeking our self determination …….and they will do anything, even promote racist and disgusting arguments upon those who seek asylum here…….. as the BBC’s beloved UK, via it’s various UK governments, have either sold weapons to (other) oppressors or have themselves been directly involved in wars in these countries where these asylum seekers have fled from………..
Robertson should be sacked…but he will not , as it seems the BBC just wants to encourage it’s employees to try to reinforce all that is bad both within and about this corrupt and dysfunctional UK…which is, as a State, never ever OK.
