In NHS Scotland, based on Public Health Scotland figures for 1 January to 31 March 2025, 70.6% of head and neck cancer patients were treated within the 62 day standard from receipt of an urgent referral.1
In England, the most recent comparable data, from November 2024, suggest only 50% of head and neck cancer patients were treated within the 62 day standard from receipt of an urgent referral.2
70.6% is 40% better than 50%.
