We’ve seen a steady stream of politicised propaganda based on CalMac for a few years now and as recently as the above Scotsman headline only 5 days ago, suggesting some kind of crisis in Scotland’s west coast ferry system. You’d think, given its frequency and intensity, it must be real and that, because of that, ferry-users would be making their views clear, on the day they were in some way disappointed, through the company’s own evaluation easily accessible to them.
They have made their views clear, but not in the way media critics might have hoped for. They love the ferries!
In surveys, from September 2024 to February 2025, 82% of 13 000 respondents (above) were satisfied:

Is 82% good?
How trusted are the police in the UK? 66% in Scotland, 34% in Northern Ireland, 49% in Wales and mostly around 50% in England.1
How trusted are civil servants in the UK? 6o% in Scotland, 26% in Northern Ireland, 38% in Wales and mostly around 40% in England.1
How satisfied are people with the NHS in the UK? 21% in England2 67% in Scotland,3 28% in Wales.4
How satisfied are people with Schools in the UK? Scotland 69%,5 England 35%,6
What about those CalMac ferries though. Have you seen the news? That guy in the Herald slags them daily. They’re rubbish, I hear. Is there a survey then? There is, above.
Why don’t we hear about this?
Ferry services in England? You must joking. They’re privatised and responsible only to their boards.

Talking-up Scotland 'Albatraz' 
The Brit states’ lies and propaganda about ferries in Scotland is a huge distraction from the terrible situation affecting services of all sorts in England. It’s not just a distraction in Scotland but also in England it’s used as another way to ridicule Scotland, (have seen such comments on Ytube channels) and to undermine the SNP.
Yikes those stats for EngNHS, and indeed schools. Wow that’s really scary, best stay away from there.

If this is CalMac performing in a ”crisis” with an 82% satisfaction rating , how much better would it be if they were not constantly in ”crisis” ( according to the MSM and other unreliable propaganda critics ) ?
If only the English NHS was able to reach this level of Satisfaction in its crisis , or the privatised English Water Companies , or ….

A brilliant put down of the so called “Scottish Journalists” and their made up stories regarding CalMac, plus the added topping of the exposing over time of all these “pop up” pressure groups.
And they wonder why people refuse to buy their papers and instead start to ridicule them 🙂
