Headlining on BBC Breakfast this morning and on their website, the above, and this:
Nurses are expected to reject their pay award in England this week, raising the possibility of strikes later in the year, the BBC understands.
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has been holding a consultative vote on their 3.6% pay rise, previously describing it as “grotesque” to award nurses a lower increase than doctors, teachers, prison officers and the armed forces.
The Scottish Government has already agreed a 4.25% deal for this year, for nurses and midwives.

Scotland’s media will no doubt portray this as a similar offer, only 0.65% higher, to conceal the fact that it is 5.4% higher than 3.25% and that 4.25% of the average nurse pay of £40 497, in Scotland, is £1 721pa. The average salary for a nurse in Scotland is already £2 554 higher.

What is NHS England risking here?
What have NHS Scotland and SNP health secretaries avoided?

Firstly I am surprised that this is indeed ‘headline’ news after the ‘glorious football victory’ to once again distract the public from the many other calamaties that this Labour Government has and apparently still is inflicting on the general population.

Expect the propaganda MSM to go in to overdrive to find something with which to batter the Scottish Government in order to distract from the better Scottish pay negotiations for the NHS .
We will soon see wee Gilhane , front and centre , in his NHS scrubs , bemoaning …something …then Damn Jackie will be wheeled on to talk more sh*te !
This is the dishonest world we are subjected to while part of this ”voluntary” union !
