NHS England paid out staggering 45 times as much, per head, for just maternity-related complaints as NHS Scotland did for all complaints

In the Guardian today, the above and:

With a tenth of the population, you might expect NHS Scotland to have paid out around £2.7 billion.

I can find no data for just maternity related cases but for all complaints and for a period, one year longer:

Health boards in Scotland have paid out more than £60 million in legal claims since 2018, figures show. So, just for maternity related complaints, NHS England paid out 45 times [2.7 bn divided by 60m] as much as NHS Scotland did for all complaints!

Why are we not so surprised to see the above? This:

  1. We really cant win as long as we have these yoon papers printing rubbish with no redress.

    Ok I know its BBC but I have just watched Politics Live and on the show was a certain Cris Murray ( Curran) talking about the water in England he had to bring up the sewerage problem in Portobello saying it was sewerage yet it was proved not but was not challenged also Scotland worst regarding prisons words to that effect how on earth did people vote for him.

    1. Yep. I started watching ‘Novara media’ a sort of left wing platform…on Y’tube and they had that guy Leishman Labcons MP can’t remember which area of Scotland, and you know anyone could be forgievn for thinking he is the bastion of socialism, equality and fairness and a decent guy, he was on talking about benefits cuts by the English government etc. Of course no mention of what the government of the constituency in Scotland that he is supposed to represent, where the ScotGov is doing exactly what he is complaining about that his London HQ’d party is not doing in punishing the poorest and most vulnaerable.
      Sigh.
      It’s a good channel in many ways, but of course Leishman gets a platform for the Labour party in England, however negative that is, and as we have said, they are playing games with the voters in their faux caring for the poor.
