Douglas Ross List Tory MSP……..also……..a………

Attention seeker and clearly a total political lost cause , who now seeks to try and make himself relevant again in pulling a stunt (not for the first time) in him trying to heckle the FM when he, the FM, was speaking in parliament.

Ross has form in being reprimanded by the Presiding officer for his bad behaviour in the debating chamber at Holyrood , but he chooses to take absolutely no heed of any former warnings that he has had for ‘talking over the FM’ (heckling) and so this time , for doing this yet again, then eventually yesterday he was (quite rightly) ejected from the chamber by the Presiding officer for his habitual bad conduct.

His arrogance, his sense of entitlement and let’s be honest his ‘manly’ pride then decided to become (play) the victim in this situation of his own creation, and so then he , and his Tory party at Holyrood all decided to blame the Presiding officer for this incident in questioning her “neutrality” , as Ross accused her of “bias against him” while the Tories accused her of “blatant bias against them as the Tory party”.

This both Ross and the Tories did in them communicating their false grievances to the pro UK media, who they knew would be very very responsive to their political propaganda and so then, as a British Nationalist media, would then be mostly on the side of both Ross and the Tories.

Now much of the British Nationalist media, in a frenzy, have come to the British Nationalist Tory list MSP and too the British Nationalist Tory Party’s aid, in them , as a media, promoting Ross and the Tory party’s skewed take on this incident at Holyrood in the debating chamber.

That is, in them as a media , seemingly quoting Ross’s and also the Tory party’s false allegations against the Presiding officer, as if they , as Tories , were both justified and credible in their allegations, while ignoring that it was he, Ross, who was the real culprit and instigator of this situation.

The Daily Telegraph front page headline in Scotland:

“Holyrood speaker accused of bias against Unionists”

The (decidedly not so) ‘Scottish’ Daily Express front page headline:

“Holyrood bias claims as MSP’s clash over Net Zero ‘Madness”

Then of course , as per, the BBC website has this as their second top story on the Scottish Politics page with a headline:

“Tories in bias claim after Douglas Ross kicked out of FMQs”

Where within this article they, the BBC, state that Ross “claimed the presiding officer had allowed SNP and Green MSPs to behave in a way that she did not extend to Conservative members” .

Ross also , ironically , stated that “”I have serious questions about the conduct of the presiding officer”

(Where as his own bad conduct is the kind of behaviour that he chooses to ignore and so not regard as being unseemly, unprofessional and also very much being pig ignorant , and also being the kind of bad behaviour that he often repeats as bad conduct within the debating chamber at Holyrood).

“A Scottish Parliament spokesperson said Ms Johnstone has “warned Mr Ross on repeated occasions recently about his behaviour in the chamber“.

“They (also) said this occurred most recently on May 21, and also on May 8 – when the presiding officer told Mr Ross “If I hear you once more, you will leave this chamber” – and on both April 22 and April 3″.

That of course is something both Douglas Ross and the Tories want the public to ignore, or better still (for them as Tories) they want the public to be totally oblivious to the details and history of Ross (and other Tories) bad behaviour at Holyrood.

So instead, as a public, the Tories want them to read the supposed biased and partisan newspapers aka gutter press , like for example , The Torygraph and also other British Nationalist rags too, like the other Tory propaganda newspaper The Daily Express , whose British Nationalist propaganda pieces always demonise independence parties while attempting to promote British Nationalist parties like the Tories.

Douglas Ross who is now an ex Tory MP as he failed to win the new constituency seat (that rightly belonged to another Tory MP as a Tory candidate) in last year’s GE , a new seat that he, Ross decided to stand in as the new Tory candidate for that new constituency.

He is also the now the ex Tory (so called) ‘leader’ at Holyrood as he has had to resign as their (so called) ‘leader’.

His resignation was promoted to be because he had formerly pledged that he would stand down as an MSP if he won the new seat as an MP, as in the one that he had chosen to stand in at last year’s GE, but he did not win it, however he still had to resign as the supposed Tory leader at Holyrood.

So why did he resign as the Tory (so called) ‘leader’, after all he did not win a seat as an MP ?

Well mostly it was because of his bad conduct against a Tory colleague, David Duguid, whose seat he, Ross, allegedly stole, in Ross choosing to stand as the Tory candidate for a new constituency instead of David Duguid in last year’s UK GE, and where a senior Tory was quoted as saying in respect to this incident with Douglas Ross that “The handling has been so bad. The optics are terrible. And his (Ross’s) judgement is sorely lacking.”

(Is there a pattern here with Douglas Ross’s repeated bad conduct ?)

The good news is that Douglas Ross has now announced he will stand down as an MSP in 2026.

However the bad news is that Ross apparently still intends to try and become a MP in 2029, whether that will still be for the Tories or potentially be for Reform UK is something we will no doubt eventually find out, as I personally think that Ross would fit in so so very well with Reform UK , that he may indeed , like other Tories, think that his chances of winning a WM seat would be greatly increased with Reform UK (if they, Reform UK, are still polling well in 2029 pre the next UK GE while the Tories were still descending in the polls, as a party, in 2029).

Ross is yet another British Nationalist supposed ‘politician’ acting like a bad loser , whose own political (deserved) demise is clearly down to him and him alone, as his constant bad and poor decisions, his lack of manners, lack of political morals, his lack of professional conduct and his blind ambition (and also his previous tendency to flip flop on statements that he made) are all of the things which have now resulted in him , come 2026, no longer being a (supposed) actual politician, either in Scotland or at WM.

So now instead he is merely someone who is regarded as being:

A failed Tory candidate at last year’s GE.

A weak and failed Tory List MSP .

Also very much one who failed at being a so called ‘good’ Tory leader at Holyrood.

This was after what was considered by many to be the fake resignation of Jackson Carlaw as the – so called – still relatively newish- Tory ‘leader’ – at Holyrood, as he, Carlaw, was only just elected as Tory ‘leader’ in February 2020 and then he resigned in July 2020 ?????

This then enabled the extremely ambitious Douglas Ross to be parachuted into the position of being the new -so called- Tory leader, where he was allowed to be unchallenged as a candidate for the leadership, which was then perceived to have been a (underhanded) alleged plot concocted between Ross and Baroness Ruth Davidson , where she , Davidson, was seen visiting Ross at his home prior to the announcement of Carlaw’s resignation and then also prior to Ross’s candidacy to be the (sole candidate) for the Tory leadership at Holyrood

Vote SNP in all future elections , via a majority , as we need to show both the biased so called ‘Unionist’ media and also the hostile so called ‘Unionist’ political parties that their British Nationalism can no longer influence some of those voters in Scotland to continue to either support them politically and also to continue to still believe them as either politicians or as a so called, but clearly not, non partisan media.

More so within Scotland now that more voters must surely finally be far far more aware that they are being played by them, the pro UK media and the pro UK politicians here in Scotland.

As there is surely only so many times that the pro UK media and pro UK political parties can assume that they , as a pro UK media and pro UK politicians, can treat us within Scotland as if we were all gullible fools.

Where some voters within Scotland are always assumed to be those who will be very easily manipulated by them as a pro UK media and as pro UK politicians, hence why they continue to treat them like mugs, in that they assume that there will always be some voters within Scotland who are always willing to still keep believing anything and everything that they both say and write.

That cannot be sustained surely, unless they as voters , intend to enable their own demise , financially and also in so so many other ways as well, just so that Scotland remains within the UK ????

So hopefully there will come a point when both the media and also certain political parties should see an end to their political and media dominance as propaganda merchants in Scotland, as surely their combined ‘end is truly nigh’………..

(Nigh , as in finally a conclusion is near for them where they will be finished in Scotland politically and as a media, and obviously not the other assumed literal meaning of ‘nigh’ Ha Ha).

  1. Over a period of time I have contacted the PO regarding the behaviour of Ross when he was tory leader and now on the backseat at last he was told to go now we have him crying crocodile tears,get a life Ross you have brought this on yourself your time in politics is over accept it.

  3. Glad he is being tracked for his appalling behaviour. The big problem for the Tory and Labour parties (yes, same thing in different colours) is that their leader for Scotland is appointed by London. This also highlights a lack of leadership ability available for them.

      Blatant and opportunistic by the BBC.

      The power of suggestion where the reader is supposed to fill in the blanks.

      As in ‘well she was a Green MSP and the Green party were once in political alliance with the SNP , so then she surely must be giving preferential treatment to the SNP and the Green party, but also another (wrong) assumption is supposed to be that she was then being deliberately biased against a British Nationalist party like the Tory party.

      (Yet more) bad conduct by another Tory in the debating chamber?

      What bad conduct ?

      Forget that , let’s talk about which party that she, Ms Johnstone, was formerly representing as a MSP and then come to the wrong conclusion on her lack of impartiality in the chamber towards certain parties.

Indeed – I went back to re-read that blocking article from Phil Sim, the excruciating nonsense premised by the SG decision to not proceed with the Galloway National Park – This idea was being discussed when Lorna Slater was less than 10 years old, it was part of her junior ministerial brief in SG, in reality it had sod all to do with the Greens other than in the mind of Phil Sim.

        The decision not to proceed had nothing to do with the Greens either, it was as result of extensive consultation.

        Yet Phil goes on to further ‘evidence’ this arrant nonsense with ” From marine protection areas to climate targets, changes how homes are heated and a ban on conversion therapy, the agreed programme has mostly been torn up “.

        In true HMS James Cook fashion, this cooked up nonsense is there as a ‘blocker’ on the Scotland Politics webpage, really no different to the DRoss nonsense or pretty much everything else, it avoids reporting on political matters which might cast SG in a good light, all through lack of space…

  5. They the Tories with their jobsworth DRoss doing as told, are attempting to portray the Scottish parliament as dysfunctional, undemocratic and they are effectively hoping to delegitmise the parliament in Scotland. Desperate measures appear in many forms.

  7. Fair play to Dodgy Dougie – he has managed to get the rest of Scotland to agree with the Green Brigade’s opinion on him.

    He really is what they famously said he was. Steve Coogan famously said everyone is a bit of one sometimes – Dougie manages it ALL the time.

      Indeed it is an accurate pic , which then demonstrates that his (over) confidence betrays the fact that he was and still is really not that bright when it came to politics. He, like other so called leaders , of UK parties within Scotland, just await instructions from their HQ’s before they would give the (HQ’s) official party position on anything and everything. (and then pretend it was their party position, as in it was conceived by them as the branch office, as if ).

      I mean anyone can carp from the sidelines as a constant, yet they themselves , as Tories in Scotland , had no new answers nor new ideas that would be any different to that of Tory HQ .

      A Tory HQ who were failing miserably as a UK government and also whose reserved policies and powers that they applied to the whole UK were awful , and did a lot of damage , but they, the Tories, were also in charge of English public services too, and those English public services were being very badly let down as well by the various Tory UK governments that we had in the UK from 2010 to 2024.

      Ross Thomson (blast from the past) was another one who was not so bright , and he was also a discredited ex Tory MP , who also initially was a former Tory MSP , who for some strange and inexplicable reason campaigned last year in America for Trump to win the US election ??????

      Thomson tweeted in November 2024

      “I’m in the US campaigning for President @RealDonaldTrump”

      “He’s a friend of the UK”

      “The world was safer, more stable, under his leadership”.

      “We need him back in the White House. It’s best for Britain and the West”.

      “Read more in the @ScotExpress”

      (He also posted a pic of himself with Donald Trump).

      Proving that he, Thomson, was not exactly a ‘wise Sage’, with him trotting out what was really just a lot of nonsense in a tweet that has now proven to be widely inaccurate. (which we knew already anyway).

      So as I said he, Thomson, is not so bright and so it is far better for Scotland that he is no longer directly involved in politics- though he did campaign for the Tories last year- so that also proves his lack of intelligence. Funnily enough when Trump won the Presidency the first time , in 2016, he , Trump, did not give a trade deal to the UK when the Tories were previously in power within the UK- so he was not that much a “friend of the UK” as Ross likes to (falsely) suggest, is he ?

      Now Ross Thomson is employed at the Trump International resort in Balmeadie, Aberdeenshire (so all of his crawling paid off) which is a perfect for him as a place to work (and allegedly risky for Trump to have Thomson as an employee Ha Ha) but really it is the most fitting place for Thomson to work as ‘fools seldom differ’ so why then should they ‘be apart’ – in the sense of both of their (Thomson and Trump’s) personal outlook, their (lack of) intelligence and their right wing awful politics too…..

      Honestly I despair at who some people in Scotland vote for in elections , only then to be badly let down by those candidates, yet still they keep on voting for them time and time again.

      Perhaps they are , as voters, Masochists or are they getting something from the UK that we are not getting , or rather that we are not seeing (probably because it does not exist Ha Ha) .

  9. Kevin McKenna has written an article for the Herald.

    He tweeted this today:

    “I walked the streets of Larkhall with Reform UK. What I saw and heard should trouble John Swinney and Anas Sarwar greatly: my despatch for @HerladScotland”

    Hmm, but what was the Reform UK candidate saying to these people in Larkhall, as that for me, is far far more ‘troubling’ to be honest.

    Now I remember when Kevin McKenna wrote this on 2 September 2023 in a tweet:

    “I spent an afternoon on the stump of Burnbank with the most impressive Conservative I’ve ever encountered. My feature on Thomas Kerr in The Herald”.

    Thomas Kerr , former Tory Councillor, who has now defected to Reform UK.

    Kevin seems to like to spend time with what amounts to being the wrong kind of (fake) politicians from the wrong kind of (fake) parties that Scotland normally rejects.

    But it seems that Kevin seems determined to continue to promote these wrong kind of (fake) politicians and their (very) wrong kind of politics who are members of the wrong kind of (fake) political parties.

    They are especially wrong for a country like Scotland , but they stand in our elections in Scotland , yet they really only want to represent the UK and not represent Scotland or it’s people.

    However not only does McKenna apparently like to ‘spend time with these people’ he also then wants to write about it and so tell the public about it .

    Which then also gives them , as (fake) politicians, and their (fake) political parties free publicity.

    So then how long will it be before Kevin McKenna writes another article telling us that he “spent another afternoon with Thomas Kerr” as a new member of his new party, Reform UK , and how he, McKenna, saw Kerr as being “the most impressive Reform UK politician I have ever encountered”…..

    Irresponsible journalism (if you can call it ‘journalism’) to even consider doing an article where you choose to either “spend an afternoon with a Tory” or “walk the streets with someone who was also a former Tory Councillor who then , like Thomas Kerr, defected to Reform UK, as in one Ross Lambie the Reform UK’s candidate for next week’s by-election” .

    You know you could not buy publicity like this but the sh*t media we have here gives it for free to these rogues . (I guess all rogues, both political and media, must stick together).

    McKenna surely knows what and who Nigel Farage truly is but clearly he does not care , which is why more people choose to no longer read sh*t papers like The Herald or indeed read fully the articles written by Kevin McKenna (as who in their right mind would pay for media pulp fiction).

    Of course if McKenna was really an honest and decent (supposed) ‘Journalist’ then he could have chosen not to “walk the streets” with someone from a rogue party who, as a party, are clearly an English Nationalist party.

    Also who , as a party , had until recently , an MP elected for them at WM last year , who now has been suspended from Reform UK, as in one Rupert Lowe, who when he was a Reform UK MP wanted WM to once again have total control of all of the UK, and so get rid of the devolved parliaments here in Scotland and in NI and in Wales too.

    Yet they, Reform UK , had candidates who were going to stand in the 2026 election for the devolved parliaments in Scotland and in Wales ????

    So basically if they, Reform UK candidates, were to be elected on the list vote next year for our Scottish parliament, then they would be the ‘Enemies within’ , surely ?

    (Note Rupert Lowe was not suspended from Reform UK for saying the above in respect to abolishing the devolved parliaments but he was suspended from Reform UK for seemingly making a challenge to Farage’s leadership of the party, via his snide comments that exposed how Farage led this rogue and fake political party, Reform UK).

    Also for McKenna to do this again with yet another former Tory , who like Thomas Kerr , dumped his former party and so chose an even more despicable party to stand as a candidate for in future elections, and that as a political party, is one that will most certainly be no friend to Scotland should they, Reform UK, gain any power in their UK.

    The Herald Tweeted this today in respect to McKenna’s latest article aka Reform UK puff piece:

    “‘Voters feel ignored by Scotland’s political establishment. They feel betrayed‘”

    Nope.

    Voters in Scotland are “ignored” by rogue media in Scotland , like the Herald for example, who are a part of the British establishment that tries to consistently con voters in Scotland into wanting to stay within the UK and so not choose (the better option of) Scottish independence.

    They, the media, do this in promoting sh*t political parties , like for example Reform UK, indeed they as a majority of the media in Scotland, always promote any party but the SNP.

    Also it is the media who broadcasts and also publishes so called newspapers in Scotland who have constantly “betrayed” Scotland and it’s people with a succession of despicable articles like this one from Kevin McKenna promoting a party like Reform UK , where if they were an honest and non partisan media they would be attacking and exposing them, Reform UK, for what they are and who they truly represent. (not Scotland or it’s people , that’s for sure).

    Kevin McKenna and The Herald have clearly chosen to support and so promote “Gutter politics” in Scotland via the likes of Reform UK, and although this is a new low for them as the so called media , it is not unexpected as we all know just how low much of the media in Scotland are prepared to go, which they do to try to stop both Scottish independence and also to try to stop more people voting for the SNP in elections.

    Vote SNP via a majority in all elections to show the likes of Kevin McKenna that we do not care who the hell he chooses to “spends an afternoon” with or who he chooses to “walk the streets with” , as clearly he is cut from the same cloth as those he is “impressed” with and so he then chooses to spend time with them.

    So if he then chooses to write political puff pieces about Reform UK candidates, while decent people in Scotland are sickened by them as a party , then the result will be that decent people will also quickly become pretty much sick of Kevin and also The Herald as well. Though in all honesty I think that boat has already sailed (so there is a positive outcome to this then).

    Now at least we know why sales for newspapers are in decline……as they insist, as newspapers, on trying so desperately to keep alive the false notion that Scotland is somehow better within their UK . (lived experience aka our suffering in Scotland proves the opposite).

    They , as a media, do this by promoting any sh*t party, no matter how despicable that party is and also no matter how much damage they will , as a party, inflict upon Scotland, as the only real reason they , as a media, write the sh*te that they write is to keep Scotland within their UK.

    That is always the main and only real purpose of all of the media here in Scotland. (or so it seems).

    They are doing it deliberately too. Simples. (to (re)use the quotes from Baron Foulkes and also Baroness May – aka George and Theresa- who are now part of the British establishment as members of the HOL’s aka the UK’s Gravy Train – that exists for those ex MP’s who are now past their sell by date -but also where many were rejected by voters in elections- but who were then rewarded by their respective party leaders in becoming ‘unelected -partisan- bureaucrats’ aka lifetime Peers , who then represent their respective pro UK parties who sit in the HOC’s ).

    That’s the UK, disunited really and extremely dysfunctional and so totally unsuitable for Scotland, who should seek to be progressive as a nation and not one that is both subsumed within and so suffocated by antiquated ‘British’ institutions and traditions.

    This particular paragraph on Farage/Tice’s appeal to Scots made me wonder just how much McKenna had imbibed before writing it –

    ” The party has sensed something new running beneath Scotland’s political currents. That growing numbers of voters think that the extremists are not to be found lurking in disadvantaged communities or in conspiracy chat-rooms, but at Holyrood and in a superannuated local government executive sector populated almost entirely by people who care nothing for working class people and who actively seek to dehumanise and invalidate them. That these voters had enough of being branded racist by groups and individuals who have damaged the cause of anti-racism by using it to pursue their own boutique agendas “.

    Anybody else see correlation between Phil Sim’s article leading the HMS James Cook’s ‘Scotland Politics’ webpage a day later and McKenna’s “boutique agendas”.

    ‘Feature writer of the year’ Kevin proclaims, as if that somehow exonerates him from ‘balance’, before having a bevvy….
