Footnote – Isn’t it rich that these leaders of industry have their views presented as mere opinion, when the Herald’s writers including guests like Brian Wilson are presented with no such warning.

    BBC alba/Scotland on 25 May 2025 broadcast a documentary on Scandinavia.

    Norway discovers oil in the late 1960s.

    Norway is independent, decides to use of yo build it’s economy, welfare, education, health, … Then start an investment fund for its future….. They now have the largest wealth fund in the world, managed by and for the benefit of Norwegian people.

    Amazing and enlightening programme highlighting the contrast with colonial Scotland….

    Colonial Scotland….. similar oil resources in the 1960’s, no Scottish control.  

    UK Westminster government destroys or privatises 

    Scottish stock exchanges

    Scottish ports

    Scottish heavy industries 

    Prestwick airport 

    Privatises national oil and gas companies

    Privatises national grid

    ……..  

    Westminster government and London’s financial controllers expand cancerously……

    2025 seriously time for independence.  

    Better late than never.
