More than twice as many, per head, wait more than 12 hours in A&E in England than do in Scotland

From Public Health Scotland, today for January 2025:

8,814 (7.2%) patients spent more than 12 hours in A&E.1

In NHS England, for the same month, the figure was 15.36%, more than twice as many pro rata.2

  1. The SNP has argued money spent on Trident would be better spent on conventional weapons to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia.

While at Westminster Starmer took the opportunity to tell Stephen Flynn their position was wrong-headed and in need of review.

Starmer should order an urgent review in this 👇

“According to the Scottish Pollution Release Inventory, tritiated water vapour emissions at Coulport were 1.7 billion becquerels (units of radioactivity) in 2018, rising steadily to 4.2 billion units in 2023. Tritiated water vapour is  harmful when inhaled, ingested or absorbed through the skin as its radiation causes cancer and cardiovascular diseases including strokes.”

  2. Again, great performance by the Scottish NHS and we must all be thankful for the staff’s dedication. I broke a rib recently and was seen promptly with no issues or drama.

I am sure that Dame Baillie has experienced longer queues waiting for a Greggs Steak Bake than she has witnessed in a Scottish A&E department, and will on behalf of the Labour party in Scotland, also express her thanks.

Try telling the BBC’s Political Editor in Scotland, Glenn Campbell, that !

    MSM Monitor tweeted this:

“Glenn Campbell’s ‘analysis’ of key political events this last few months have all been pro-Labour”.

MSM Monitor also linked a Video to his tweet showing exactly what Campbell had said on specific topics so then emphatically prove his , MSM Monitor’s, point.

Campbell on Reeves budget : “Just think back to the GE campaign, one of the SNP’s core attack line was that a Labour government would continue austerity, their not repeating that line today. I think Labour will be pleased today that they have blunted that core SNP attack of continued austerity and that gives them (Labour) some political space as we look ahead to the next Holyrood election to try and turn the focus on improving the delivery of public services , like the NHS and Education in Scotland and of course that is an area, these areas where there is plenty of scope for improvement”

Campbell on the SNP Reinstating winter fuel : “Scottish ministers would like to get some credit for taking a different and more generous approach on WFP than the UK Labour government , Scottish Labour has been pushing the SNP ministers to announce something like what they have announced today rather than to take their view from UK Labour policies and also that the Scottish government has only really been able to announce a more generous approach because the UK Labour Treasury has promised them greater funding next year than they might otherwise have expected.”

Campbell on the SNP and the two child cap : “I think (Scottish) Labour might be open to a conversation in these circumstances about backing the (Scottish) budget if the lifting of the two child cap could be backdated to the beginning of the financial year that’s about to start”.

Campbell on Starmer after Trump/Zelensky : “The PM himself has been transformed you could say in recent days from a leader who was struggling to establish his position just a matter of months after winning a sweeping victory in the GE , to somebody who has emerged as an international leader”.

This is Glenn Campbell, the BBC’s Political editor, who is seemingly the BBC’s version of the Daily Record’s political editor Paul Hutcheon. Both are on the side of the Labour party and so both are then very much against the SNP.

Just keep reading the above statements made by Glenn Campbell, and then try to remember that he is an employee of a news organisation that broadcasts in Scotland.

Then , having re-read his above statements, then start to see him as someone who seems to think his role is one where he is an integral (very public) part of the Labour party’s Communications team.

The above statements by him are so pro Labour that they could be included in a Labour party political broadcast, in fact they were Labour party political broadcasts !

    Why is this allowed ?

Is this balanced reporting free from bias ?

Is this reporting political news or is this just the constant partisan observations of an employee from a British news organisation who seems to see his role as being one that only exists to promote Labour’s position (or any party in opposition to the SNP’s position) to viewers in Scotland while also constantly attacking, undermining and so diminishing the SNP’s position?

I will highlight the bias in his statements.

Labour will be pleased today that they have blunted that core SNP attack of continued austerity”

“that gives them (Labour) some political space as we look ahead to the next Holyrood election to try and turn the focus on improving the delivery of public services” (and then he said) “where there is plenty of scope for improvement

“Scottish ministers would like to get some credit

Scottish Labour has been pushing the SNP ministers to announce something like what they have announced today”

“also that the Scottish government has only really been able to announce a more generous approach because the UK Labour Treasury has promised them greater funding next year”.

“I think (Scottish) Labour might be open to a conversation”

“The PM himself has been transformed

(PM) emerged as an international leader

Is there anything Glenn Campbell said that gives kudos, as in sole credit , to he SNP alone ?

    Nope.

The infamous BBC Scotland’s news reporting team.

Where they, as a team, add the now infamous “But” and also the infamous “However”, as words that they include in their news reports to try and discredit the SNP’s policies, words and actions .

As the BBC always ensures that they present the alternative opposing arguments or opposing positions from those who are in opposition to the SNP .

Glenn Campbell in his above statements only seemed to give credit to Labour’s actions , both UK Labour and Labour in Scotland .

All of Glenn Campbell’s political credit and kudos goes to Labour , who according to him, are the ones who have prompted and enabled the SNP to make positive decisions , which he says only happened thanks to Labour in Scotland “pushing the SNP” and also are only able to happen due to the generosity of the UK Labour government’s Treasury.

He also states that “Labour in Scotland” now have “ some political space” ahead of “the next Holyrood election” for them to “try and turn the focus on improving the delivery of public services” where he states that there is “plenty of scope for improvement”.

So is he then saying that currently with the SNP things are bad, so do not vote for them?

However he seems to also be telling us to vote for Labour in 2026 to see public services improved ?

Is that Glenn’s political message to Scottish voters as the BBC’s political editor, him making direct and also subliminal political messages to try to brainwash voters here in Scotland to not vote for the SNP but instead to vote for Labour.

Even though the SNP have achieved the best performing NHS in the UK , including far better than the Welsh NHS under Labour, so Glenn thinks that then leaves “plenty of scope for improvement”, compared to what and who Glenn ?

Vote SNP in 2026 and always remember to turn off , tune out and drop out of any reports made by the BBC’s Glenn ‘politically compromised’ Campbell , who seems to see his role as being a Labour party communications officer from a UK state controlled media broadcaster. (though depending on the circumstances he, Glenn Campbell, would also be open to communicate on behalf of other opposition parties to the SNP as well).

Glenn may be masquerading under the role of being a so called political editor, but he is not a neutral one ,as currently he is a politically compromised political editor on behalf of the Labour party. Pass it on.

BBC news in Scotland is the GB News that already existed long long before the actual GB News was formed in the UK. Pass that on too, though you may find that will not be ‘news’ to anyone with a hint of intelligence.
