From NHS waiting times – diagnostics Waits for key diagnostic tests, published today, the above chart reveals a dramatic reduction, for 5 consecutive months, in the time waited for diagnostic tests since the end of the pandemic measures.
Since January 2024, the number waiting for less than six weeks has climbed from 47.4% to 53.1%, a greater than 10% improvement in only one year.
When looking at waits over 52 weeks, radiology waits decreased by 65% (-180) compared to the previous quarter.
