26% improvement in dental care of Primary 1 children since 2007/2008

The percentage of P1 children in Scotland with no obvious decay experience; 1988-2024

From Public Health Scotland today, the above graph.

To be fair, this improving trend begins under Labour in 2003-2004 but is enhanced significantly and maintained by the SNP in government over the last 17 years.

  1. Great improvement and a success story as can be demonstrated via that graph.

Oh, how I dreaded the Green Dentist van that would park itself in the playground for its annual review of Primary School children’s teeth. No chance of saving a kids tooth with that lot, their only solution was an extraction. 😦

Mind you I am going back a long way!
