with families waiting months for suitable accommodation, new data is expected to reveal this morning. The Scottish Government and 12 councils have already declared a housing emergency, with the number of households in temporary accommodation or those waiting for social housing continuing to rise. The Housing Minister…

BBC Scotland is headlining this story ahead of data to be published today:

They will not be providing any context, I’m sure.
Here it is:

Finally, see that connection to the Scottish Government Minister? In my own, month-long comparative study in June 2023:
When reports refer to the devolved government, regardless of any specific accusation of direct responsibility for the problem being reported, this at the very least, associates the problem in the minds of viewers, with the devolved government and, by implication blames them for it. In this practice, BBC Scotland was significantly more likely to do so [than STV], by a ratio of nearly 3:1 (32:11), in the space of only four weeks. This suggests an underlying agenda at the editorial level to undermine the SNP/Scottish Government.

In a similar vein BBC news showing the devastation of flooding in huge parts of England but of course no accusations made against /or comments asked of any Cabinet Minister responsible or from any Opposition parties spokesperson.
Surely there is no equivalent of Willie Rennie in England to demand better flood protections.

“Fact – Homelessness and affordable housing shortages are far less common in Scotland”
Well it may be a “Fact” but how are the public (Voters) in Scotland going to be made aware of it ?
As so far , some of the public (Voters) are under the impression that Scotland has the worse performing government within the UK .
That position may not change any time soon .
It most certainly will never change while we still have the same kind of media in Scotland being allowed to continue printing and speaking misinformation (Lies) about Scotland and our current Scottish government.
Then of course they , that same media, obscure the many negatives connected to other political parties while they also obscure all positives connected to the SNP in respect to the many progressive initiatives and good policies that they , the SNP, have successfully implemented in Scotland since coming to power at Holyrood.
As surely if all of the public were fully aware of all that the SNP have done as a party and government, for their benefit as citizens within Scotland , then they, the SNP, would not have then seen the disastrous result that they saw in the recent GE .
As they, the SNP, only managed to get 9 MP’s elected at WM but Labour, who are far less deserving, gained the most MP’s in Scotland (and other parties in Scotland also did not do as badly as some thought they would, the Tories only lost one seat (which they may have kept but for Douglas Ross) and the Lib Dems retained all of their seats and also gained a further two seats in Scotland) !
The power of the media will always prevail in Scotland , via their propaganda, and if more of the public (Voters) in Scotland do not endeavour to get more clued up than they currently are, to the actual “Facts”, then I fail to see how we , Scotland, can achieve more than we currently are seeing in respect to both Indy parties gaining the most seats in elections and also independence increasing in popularity.
So therefore as long as “Facts” like “Homelessness and affordable housing shortages are far less common in Scotland” continues to be ignored by the media, both within and outwith Scotland , then nowt will “Change” for Scotland.
