Thanks to Frances for alerting us to this:
The above map from an EveryDoctor survey reveals the staggering extent of outsourcing and privatisation of the NHS in England and in Wales by sharp contrast with that in Scotland.
You can check your own constituency at:

This why you have Kennedy and Tsunami Baillie et al being regularly platformed by HMS James Cook – Scotland (and to be fair Wales and NI) is the outlier to rolling back Nye Bevan’s advance of the NHS from 1946 – A ‘land fit for heroes’ was the watchword in post-war Britain despite being up to their ears in debt, rebuilding homes, factories, railways, etc and everybody mucked in whilst the Tories repeated “but it can’t be afforded” to deaf ears…
The only reason Scotland looks so different on that map is because Scots still believe in principles and social morality, and a Welshman proved it could be done nationally whilst paying off post-war debt…
Roll forward 77/78 years and it’s still “but it can’t be afforded” from the Tories, but now championed by the once brave Labour party, reduced to the likes of Starmer and Streeting who don’t want a ‘land fit for heroes’ but a ‘land fit for schmucks’.

Exactly that Bob, they have to drag Scotland down with them rather than having things done differently just across the border where so many English voters can then see an alternative. It was why they have pushed and pushed to try to get the SNP admit the NHS is broken, opening the way for private health to be touted as the solution
The clue has to be in the political donations, no company or organisation donates huge sums to a party for no return. Between this, Russia and Musk the mainstream UK parties have all been bought and sold, a parcel of rogues indeed

I guess that’s the way to do it really – tap into the ‘craze for celebrity’ that seems to afflict many of those incapable of thought.
Given the footballing allegiance of many unionists, perhaps the Scottish Government should tap into that too – by producing ads with players from certain SPL clubs praising Scotland’s NHS and expressing concern about privatisation creeping north from the border?
