Only last week, the GMB union leader was exposed as a bully and misogynist, after having campaigned to become leader, promising to eradicate the bullying and misogyny at the heart of the union.
Today, in the Herald:
The GMB has warned MSPs against the planned hike in minimum unit pricing (MUP) saying it will hurt lowest earning Scots hardest. The trade union, representing many drink industry workers, said ministers had “been too quick to accept the untested assurances of advisors and lobby groups.”
So that’s a culture of bullying and misogyny plus promoting alcohol consumption? There’s a dangerous cocktail. Might we call it ‘Smack my bitch?’
In November 2021, the GMB called out its refuse workers to help Labour exploit littering Cop26 crowds, only to be disappointed by as lack of good images, managing little better than this kind of thing:

One more thing but a big one. The GMB with Scottish Labour champions nuclear power generation and nuclear weapons, and opposes, just as it now does on alcohol, expert advice on the health risks for those living around the facilities, such as Hunterston A and B in Ayrshire.

Talking-up Scotland 'Albatraz' 
The members need to sort it out. Especially those who support Independence. The union bias is damaging the workers interests. The Union’s support for the corruption and shame of Westminster policies damaging members and their families lives. Leaving people in poverty and strife.
Illegal wars and redundant weaponry. Brexit losing £Billions. Funding Labour with members monies. Conspiring with the employers against the workers rights. The members need to sort it out. Let their votes be counted or lose their rights .
A corrupt and shameful Westminster system of deprivation and mismanagement of £Billions of public monies. Supporting inequality, bigotry, racism and misogny. Leaving people in poverty and debt.

The Red Tories have evolved into an utterly shameful shadow of the Blue Tories in London. Having a “Sir” (an obvious Thatcher loving Tory) as leader of a ‘so called’ Socialist Party, in itself utterly disgusting.
The fact that such a large proportion of the gullible, knee-bending subservient population still supports these low-life cretins, is abhorrent.

Yes I see loads of comments on YouTube videos about labour and English folk will hear not a wrong word against Labour, it’s quite scary. There are some however who do not now support Labour in England,but have little choice and
so will vote Labour to ‘get the Tories out’ ironically, because it may well be from the frying pan into the fire scenario. 😦
Have alsp seen many comments like ‘there are just no honest or good politians in the UK/Britain’ etc…

Well what part of the GMB is he, Alan Gemmell, a “proud” member of…..not the one that prompted the following headlines last week…surely (or is it ?)……
The Daily Record “GMB Union guilty of behaviour it’s meant to fight against”
The Herald who stated “GMB’s Gary Smith urged to apologise for ‘Shooting match’ comments”
The GMB is the UK’s third-largest trade union, with more than half a million members and is a major donor to the Labour party……hence why you often see and hear Labour politicians and representatives from the GMB Union take the same position against the Scottish government…..also known as Labour and the GMB Union often being considered ‘Cheeks from the same you know what’ when it comes to Scotland’s politics…..also why we witness orchestrated ‘campaigns’ and photo ops involving GMB Reps and Labour politicians in what is now known as yet another #SNPBAD contrived moment…..which much of their media is only too willing to report (over promote) on their behalf as supporters of the UK…….
In 2021 when Gary Smith was elected as their General Secretary he said this:
“We will be different, we will be better, and we will win together“
Well as a Union they certainly are behaving differently from how a Union worked in the past but…….not by any means in them being remotely “better”…… and who is this “We” that he , Smith , referred to in ‘winning’ “together”…..certainly not the female who he, Smith, tried to ‘shut down’ in her wanting to proceed with a complaint when he, Smith, told her that they, the GMB Union had “more money” for “better lawyers”. thus a (too) strong suggestion by him that she should ‘cease and desist’….as in the kind of thing a BOSS from a private company would say to a WORKER with a grievance…..and not the kind of thing you would expect a Union representative, as in the General Secretary, to say to a colleague (worker)…….so yes Gary your Union is now “different” but not in a “better” or good way……indeed for females you appear to be somewhat chauvinistic in your attitude…..hence why there is a reason that a recommendation made to your Union was not addressed in respect to the accusations made on “culture of bullying and misogyny” within the GMB……
But ,Alan Gemmell OBE, as in ,he who is a Labour candidate, is apparently “proud” to be a member of that Union (GMB) …and I am sure also a “proud” holder of an ‘Order of the British Empire’ and also “proud” to be a part of a UK within a very much NON Union…….where they, Labour politicians, always try to climb up the greasy pole in politics to eventually make it all the way into the HOL……..
Actually here’s a funny story (as in funny peculiar not funny Ha Ha) ……Frances O’Grady the former TUC General Secretary, now sits in the HOL’s…. sitting for the LABOUR party (obvs)…..it’s funny in that a former Gen Secretary of a WORKERS Union is now a Baroness in the HOL…..sounds like an oxymoron but is actually truthful as in real….seems surreal to me as an actuality…a kind of Duck the workers vibe….really.
Only happens in their UK…..and their doing it deliberately too !
