On Boxing Day, as weather conditions improved and before Storm Gerrit struck, Scotland’s government-owned ferry service helped thousands travel to and from friends and relatives in 50 locations in the islands and around small communities on the west coast.

196 out of 196 sailings were on time.

Washington State Ferries – stay at home.

  1. Consistently brilliant performance from Calmac, despite what the unionist media may tell you! Oh by the way, John, have you yet seen the “island crossings” documentary about Calmac? it is possible to watch programmes on iPlayer without having a TV licence. You just need to click “I have a tv licence”.

      1. Well, I’ve watched most of it, and it does talk a bit about delays and disruption and that, but it doesn’t necessarily say it’s crap, and it does remind viewers that Calmac is indeed a lifeline for the islands and that it is really important for them. It does also show some of the people that work at calmac, etc.

” Must make fewer mistakes when misreporting ( Wink ! Wink ! ) Scotland’s dire Government , Calmac’s dire Ferry service , SNP’s dire financial situation , etc… but must make better job of covering up said ”misreporting ” !

  3. I’ve been so fed up of unionists trashing Calmac and trashing us who live on the islands because we didn’t vote Tory. I personally have never had issues with Calmac except once
