TuS stats from yesterday surprised the editor with Channel Islanders ‘furious’ as brand new Dutch-built ‘troubled’ ferry, repaired in Spain but pulled after only three days top story with readers.
Why?
Folk are always telling me to give up on ferries, that I’m getting addicted to them and that no one is that interested any more.
The stats for the year confirm that view, with no ferry stories at the top:

So, what was it about that headline? Let me know.
And, for any ferry addicts out there, we have more much more at: https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/?s=ferr
All aboard!

Prof,
Apologies for being O/T but have you seen this about NHSEng A&E figures

If I log in then my posts vanish into the aether. If I re-post, the message, ‘looks like you already said that appears’. So, I have to post anonymously.

I think you do a wonderful job exposing the targeted lies that the english throw at Scotlands ferry service you expose the joint corruption of BBC Scotland and the English controlled newspapers particularly the Scotsman and the Herald both headquartered in Scotland but controlled and managed by England for England you also expose the English who live in Scotland are are always ready to give false support to the lies.

John , some say you are ”away with the ferries ” , but this site would be sunk without your full steam ahead approach to keel-hauling the mutinous BBC and their piratical slant on keeping afloat stories that are holed below the waterline simply to blow the SNP out of the water .

I’ve just surfaced to see this master(Bates?)piece of nautical punning. I’d pipe you aboard the MV TuS if had a whistle to hand.

A main purpose of this site is to debunk unrelievedly biased tales presenting Scotland in a bad light. The ferries have been one of these attack lines, as are health and crime. So, you are right to challenge these attacks. Rapid rebuttal is important before such lies gain traction with the electorate. Debunking is also part of informing the public.

I’m going to put an end to this sea sickness with the words of Bugs Bunny doing a bit of a Groucho Marx as a cap’n:
‘Batten down the hatches! We’ll teach those hatches!
