As a qualified dentist Anas Sarwar will realise the import of these figures and will be front and centre in congratulating the Scottish Government’s efforts in improving so dramatically the health of our nation’s teeth .

I read the other day that one of the largest increases in A&E in NHS England has been children seeking dental treatment because they cannot find/access an NHSE dentist.
Hospital admissions in England of children with dental caries is growing.
“”Following a decrease during the pandemic, the number of 5-9 year olds requiring tooth extractions in hospital rose to 16,959 in 2021-22 (compared to 9,429 in 2020-21).
