Steady improvement in criminal courts handling cases

From the Scottish Government yesterday:

The percentage of summary criminal cases dealt with within 26 weeks (from caution and charge to verdict) has increased from 42% in 2022 to 46% in 2023.

The average Sheriff Court summary waiting period in weeks (weighted) between pleading diet and trial diet has improved from 21 weeks in 2021, to 17 weeks in 2022 and only 15 weeks in 2023, a significant 28% improvement in only 2 years.

    There are MORE stories that the Scottish (INO) media here have ‘missed’ than those they have covered.

    Indeed if it were not for the ‘alternate’ online media then many of us would be totally oblivious to the “news where we are” and very much badly served in any truth and facts being revealed…..but then, I guess, that IS in fact the JOB of the MSM in Scotland….to keep us all in the dark because if more was to be revealed then perhaps we would not be seeing some voters here considering lending their vote to New New Labour in the next GE……and potentially turning away from the SNP.

    There is a clue in them being referred to as Mainstream media….who then support the various mainstream political parties….a match it seems made in Hell….well for us in Scotland for sure…..but also not forgetting many others within the UK too…. like say our friends in England…..who have their own separate fights and opposition to both the MSM and too mainstream political parties…..but alas , unlike us in Scotland , they in England have no real alternative party that seeks real change and progress that would and could benefit them as people in electing those OTHER (mainstream) parties as their ‘preferred’ ???? government….instead they have what is really very much a ‘Hobson’s choice’ via either voting for THE actual Tory party or the newer version of the Tory party as in New New Labour……or God forbid choosing to vote for another mainstream party, the Lib Dems, who will never win outright to be the next UK government but who instead ‘weigh up’ who tis best (for them that is not the actual people of their UK).., for them to align with to form a coalition government with any other mainstream party who fail to win a MAJORITY in a GE…..via the FPTP preferred voting system of SOME of the mainstream political parties but not the Lib Dems who see their chances of MORE success being via a proportional representation voting system hence why THEY support it……….

    TBH I for one will not ‘MISS’ the current MSM that we are subjected to in Scotland when we get our independence or indeed the mainstream political parties who currently pollute both the political and constitutional debate with their brand of political discourse both outwith and also within Scotland…..independence cannot come soon enough……and will , I think, NOT be “missed” as a “story” via the “Scottish (INO) media”….LOL

    “Six more Labour councillors have quit the party after comments from Sir Keir Starmer on the Israel-Hamas war”.

    “The news comes after two members of Oxford City Council left the party last weekend”.

    “They cited ” the Labour leadership’s “refusal to condemn collective punishment of Palestinians”.

    “In a collective statement the councillors said: “At a time when it’s been crucial to call for an immediate ceasefire and a de-escalation, and to insist Israel abides by international law, Keir Starmer and the shadow foreign secretary have instead endorsed collective punishment, blockade, siege and mass civilian casualties”.

    “As Starmer has said, ‘Israel has that right’ to continue deadly attacks on Gazans. This is complicity in war crimes.”

    “The statement continued: “We have been proud to represent our communities and do not take the decision to resign from Labour lightly”.

    “In a choice between serving our parties or justice, we have chosen justice.”

    They, as councillors, will all now represent their wards as independents

    Cue Anas Sarwar’s opinion on his HQ leader’s position via this situation in supporting Israel and too, though I suspect not via the media here, the division that this has now created as a result within the Labour party (and members of) because of Labour HQ, via their leader and shadow ministers , clear support being MORE for Israel and it’s government than for the Palestinians……..or perhaps more likely tumbleweed…. as per mostly anything negative ever being promoted here in Scotland in respect to New New Labour…especially when tis being promoted their apparent current resurgence happening in Scotland…..due mainly to the SAME media here determined to promote a succession of negative stories that THEY have connected and attributed to the SNP.

  3. Starmer has lose the Palestinian vote. Totally biased family. Another lawyer breaking International Law. Netanyahu is corrupt. On criminal charges. 4 inconclusive elections in over a year. The economy is tanking. Half the population (8 million) do not support the Gov. Total violent unrest.

    Balfour Agreement. Lord Balfour 1917. Fought against the British 1948. Genocide against the Palestinians. Israel funded and aided by the US. 1 in 6 Americans of Jewish descent. Migrants from Europe. 1 in 8 Americans of Scottish\Irish descent. Trump and Biden’s mothers.

  4. Too many people in jail. UK the highest in Europe. To many people on the spectrum without the proper support or diagnosis. A
    Alcohol drugs linked to crime. £250million to be invested in proper rehab.

    Austerity has increased crime. The cost of living crisis. Welfare, benefit cuts.Brexit putting up prices. Retailers making higher profits. Tax evading companies and Gov. The economy mismanagement by Westminster Gov.

    He has , via this, like many other positions he has taken now backed himself and his party into a corner…..Scottish officials have also resigned their position within the Labour party as well as Labour councillors resigning down South…..Muslims in the UK are also questioning their continued support for the Labour party in any subsequent elections within the UK……while Labour HQ has issued , upon their CLP’s in the UK, a gagging order preventing them expressing any opinion upon Israel…….that, as an opinion, conflicts with that of Labour HQ and their leader…..I thought we were told we would see, with New New Labour HQ, a ‘Fresh Start’ and a ‘Change’ from what I assume was what we currently see happening within the Tory party as UK government…..instead it seems New New Labour HQ, like the Tory party, intend to IMPOSE rules and DEMAND that it is their way or the highway…..and that is currently what is being played out from WITHIN their party…..so no hope for all others OUTWITH their party is there ?????

    Clearly with New New Labour HQ as the potential next UK Government it will be very much a case of the new bosses being EXACTLY the same as the old bosses…..but then we all knew that on here did we not…..cue BBC Scotland reporting that Labour HQ and too the branch office also being in turmoil and thus we will seem them, the BBC here, clamouring to doorstep their branch office manager Anas Sarwar which as an event….is currently very much overdue however I am sure that they, BBC Scotland, will chase him down and interrogate him upon this any day now…..at what has been promoted by BBC Scotland as a significant moment via the latest By-election win in Scotland for New New Labour….as in their supposed ‘resurgence’ here…….but this Pro Israel stance by Labour HQ that seems very much to be growing arms and legs in dissent within the Labour party (among other contentious issues) perhaps cannot be be promoted as such and thus potentially ‘upset their SCOTTISH applecart’…….over to YOU BBC Scotland to give us your forensic report in the news where WE are (that is in Scotland….. upon this ‘issue’ )…….like say a similar report…. that you, as an organisation, are not slow in reporting via what you say is in times when ‘dissent’ exists within the SNP…..and you say you always adhere to what you promote as ‘Balance’ in your output……..so this IS news….get it reported.
