On A&E, in May 2023, NHS Wales saw 62% of 70 310 patients within 4 hours, NHS Scotland saw 70.8% of 138 467 within 4 hours.

Doctors have rejected a Welsh government offer of a 5% pay rise. 5% is less than what is being offered in England or Scotland and it is less than the DDRB (Doctors’ and Dentists’ Review Body) recommendation. “It is the worst offer in the UK.”
In England doctors were offered a 6% rise in July while in Scotland junior doctors have been offered a pay increase of 17.5% over two years.

I always find it amazing how Labour , when connected to any failure, that their involvement indeed their culpability is airbrushed via the media here in Scotland and too via some of their client media in England….
I say “amazed” when obviously I know why.
Are we expected to believe that the media are not privy to all of the facts and stats ?
If you watch ANY political debate programme you will always note that when the SNP are mentioned and then hear how they, the SNP as a party who governs Scotland, are supposedly destroying the NHS here….. yet also NOT hear, via those who make these accusations, anything factual ,as in they offer nowt, via either comparison with other NHS performance in other nations or indeed in way of proven evidential figures quoted to substantiate what is , as a statement , an extremely serious claim……surely the host of these debate programmes would, together with the producers, anticipate this subject arising, and have the stats and evidence to either verify or refute this allegation….after all Fiona Bruce on BBC QT has many a time intervened , as in interrupted a politician, on that programme and provided information that challenges what they are saying YET via THE hot topic , as in the NHS, somehow she has NO comparable figures to present to the panel and the audience…..how very convenient….thus she allows that accusation to stand as a (non) fact……indeed does she herself not also many a time contribute to this demonization against the SNP…………
The fact that the public in Scotland are being consistently given an edited form of reality via the media and too the media’s abridged version of a political story is all part of their united front with those political parties who favour the status quo of their UK being maintained…..thus Labour will now be subject to a negative news blackout in Scotland while the SNP will see an avalanche of the same old same old concocted #SNPBAD from now to the next GE……Sarwar will be their new champion and will thus be subject to the same fake elevation, via the media, that was once awarded to Baroness Davidson when she FAILED to gain MORE MP’s than the SNP in a GE but was somehow promoted as being a winner……and that is what we are up against…via a constant loop that is as tiring as it is predictable.
A war of propaganda waged against the SNP but actually really very much against ANY opportunity for us to have another Indy Ref……which is THE bottom line in EVERYTHING that they all say and do against the SNP……simples….the question is how do we break free from this never ending succession of bias to get the truth out because it seems to be that what is quoted in the media is that which is being quoted by some of the public……who seem, as some of the public, to be averse to blaming other political parties and their historic and current #Badness yet seem so receptive and thus susceptible to believing ALL of the over promoted #SNPBAD news via the media and those they support as in various opposition parties…..how DO we break the cycle of a media intent on INFLUENCING public opinion in Scotland while simultanously refusing to REFLECT the opinions those of us HAVE who support independence ? (which amounts to 50% plus in support of independence)………because that to me seems to be the crux of the matter (problem) in respect to ALL and ANY resurgence of the SNP ever happening in Scotland…as in via those voters who as yet are still to be convinced upon independence and too the SNP being THE right party to both deliver it and too thus make a success of Scotland as an independent country.

Indeed Robert….and then we have the huge obstacle of how to get THE message OUT to the public…..indeed any message the SNP try to communicate to the public is, via the media, either censored, diluted or infiltrated by the alternate opposing message via their, SNP, opponents as being THE ONLY real and credible message promoted to counter anything and everything said and done by the SNP.
Who communicates or champions the message given by the SNP in the media ?
Where via the MSM is there any outlet that ‘allows’ the promotion of , the arguments FOR and legitimate reasons to be presented via any SNP politician for another independence Referendum without there also then having to be factored in some negativity and scorn as a reaction via that media outlet……done to diminish the argument that they, the SNP, as a party are presenting and which should be presented, by the media, as a very much justified and evidenced based argument that backs up their promoting independence as now the only viable option for Scotland in the future …..especially considering what we in Scotland have all suffered under a TORY UK government since 2014 (Thanks to Labour’s pro UK position in 2014 and since then too)……and now, via New New Labour, who were once (many moons ago) seen as a ‘Socialist’ party (when they were just plain old Labour party) but who have now clearly morphed into an alternate Tory party all to win over but one nation within their UK who in previous elections seem to have preferred Tory to Labour as a UK government…. indeed that same TORY party, that New New Labour seek to emulate, are those who have consistently let THOSE in England , as a nation, down as the many (poorer) in favour of THOSE who represent the few (wealthy)……..and that is clearly now the same path New New Labour intend to go down (and BTW take us in Scotland DOWN with them…literally down down down that is…..indeed all the way down to continued depths of despair and destitution in their UK)
BTW The National I am afraid as a media outlet, and sister paper to the anti SNP and anti Independence paper The Herald, tends to blow hot and cold upon the SNP and give voice to those who themselves also have form in censoring, diluting and infiltrating much that is said and done by the SNP…..and having merely ONE Indy paper doth not maketh THE important message being one that is widely communicated throughout Scotland to win over others who are as yet still unconvinced on independence ….mainly because they seem to think they can trust and rely upon other MSM sources who promote and support other political parties and also THAT which is laughably called (occasionally that is as in when it suits THEM) the Union…….
Don’t despair though as if New New Labour DO win the next GE….it will not be all (RED) Roses for them LOL…..as if they do not deliver all they have promised then the BIG question for MORE Scots is….so what now ?…..indeed what IS the alternative for Scotland…..now that is THE Q and tis up to us and too very much parties like the SNP to provide the correct answer is it not.

The media and the unionist parties operate ‘selective whitabootery’.
Any datum, whether objectively derived or a subjective ‘vox pop’, and presented without context which can be framed as a failure by the Scottish Government is to be deployed in an unexamined way in an accusing manner.
Any data which indicates that, relative to other governments and administrations, the Scottish Government is performing comparatively well, is not permitted because it is ‘whitabootery’. No matter the context or circumstances, the performance of the Scottish Government is ‘just not good enough’ or ‘shows contempt for the Scottish people’. Statements like the two examples are ‘unchallengeable facts’ because DOCTOR Gulhane or her Dameness the Jaikie of Baillie has said so.

Aye…and I have seen that happen on social media …where opponents of the SNP attack the SNP and when anyone highlights the MANY failings of a specific Pro UK party, in order to to counter what is a biased and flawed argument, they are then accused of ‘Whataboutery” by those who have attacked the SNP….
‘Whataboutery’ being the weak excuse they use to try to diminish the strong argument being made to promote that which is obvious, as in their sheer HYPOCRISY, in attacking the SNP as a party and the Scottish government while ignoring the many failings of Pro UK parties (and too the UK and other devolved governments)…..also known as them assuming it’s okay for THEM to dish it out but somehow not be willing to TAKE it (back)…..LOL

Last month Skwawkbox reported that “Labour’s conference arrangement committee has blocked an attempt to bring a motion at the party’s conference in Liverpool calling for a law to ban MP’s from accepting donations from Private Heath companies and their lobbyists”
BUT…..we are told, by New New Labour, that the NHS is ‘safe’ in their hands…..is that “safe” or ‘sold off’ in their , New New Labour, hands ( with their outstretched hand(s) receiving donations from said Private Health Companies to bolster both their individual and party’s election campaigns)……BUT…..nowt is free in politics….and if it is to be a ‘you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours’ as in that is how New New Labour think they will have the clout to pull the wool over the public’s eyes then God help us all …..and too the NHS.
