The the bully and the child groomer – BBC Scotland shield Labour in run-up to by-election

Even the Herald is covering the story of Frank McAveety, former Scottish Labour minister is the subject of a formal complaint over alleged bullying and misogyny.

BBC Scotland News and BBC Scotland Politics are both ignoring it.

The Herald also covered David Graham, a Scottish Labour councillor arrested and charged over allegations of child grooming. It’s just business, I guess.

BBC Scotland did eventually report it on their website but kept it low profile with no photograph and, to my knowledge, kept if off broadcasts.

There is a by-election campaign underway in Rutherglen and Hamilton West. Labour stand a chance of winning it.

  1. That by election – labour has thrown everthing at it including social media. But now there are no more lies left, no more U-turns to be made, no more promises left to be broken. They are now convinced they are attracting independence supporters to vote for the labour party. We can only hope they are wrong.

    1. I mentioned this article to my son, who generally picks up on such things. The conversation went some thing like this:

      Him: “Who’s Jackie Baillie?”
Me: “Deputy Leader of the Labour party in Scotland”.
Him: “Oh. Explains why I’ve never heard of her then…”

Are the BBC, perhaps, aware of this already? Hence not bothering to mention it?

  2. … how can any true socialist vote Labour in Scotland. Scottish Labour died years ago when it stabbed Jimmy Reid in the back. Now a sad group run by a millionaire businessman who’s workers had to fight for a minimum wage, controlled by Westminster. They don’t know what side of bed to get out of on a morning.

    1. And Labour is supporting property owners who rent out flats in Edinburgh who are complying about legislation regarding registration and the publication of data about the property including safety requirements.

On the ITN NEWS yesterday, there was what can only be described as a political broadcast on behalf of the Edinburgh rentier class and their persecution by the ‘SNP (sic) Government’.

The nasty Brian Wilson is fulminating on behalf of the rentier class in today’s Scotsman.
