  1. Why do we have to watch English football in Scotland ? When the Scotland man’s team was recently playing in the World Cup qualifiers we only got highlights later at night but we did get Englands women’s team LIVE

    Know what ? Stuff that

    1. The difference is, though, that the England v France game mentioned didn’t come under the heading of Sport.

      It was Comedy, pure Comedy…

  2. Problem is , like my brother, some fans would watch a bluebottle push a ball object on any flat surface.
Other colours of flies are available.

Hell, he’s watching the women’s games in the morning itv days.

He used to be a referee for the juniors and hasn’t changed.

  3. I suspect it has to do with creating a sense of security in caase there should ever be a repeat of 1966 and the glorification of their green and pleasant land. I mean would anyone else talk of “30 years of hurt”.
Watched a film the other night about Wales getting to the semi funal of the Euro championship. Their last qualification was in 1958 – so nearly 60 years of hurt. But they went out to have a good time, show what they could do and create some good memories. They could hardly believe they were playing Portugal in the semi final. Quite a different mindset.

  4. Obviously, we all watched the game in the hope that plucky England, against all the odds, would show Johnny Foreigner that with a stiff upper lip, the thwack of willow, warm beer, a hint of Brexit and a sense of fair play would prevail.

Quite why Harry Kane never skied that penalty I will never know.
