The Canadian government has not been blamed for any aspect of this. Indeed, they too have joined in the criticism, blaming the management for everything.

Meanwhile in Scotland, CalMac Ferries, operating a very similar scale of operation in terms of number of vessels and destinations, though in a windier, colder, climate, has been at 98.6% reliability over the last week. The Scottish media have been scouring away at the bottom of the their barrel, desperately looking for one cancelled ferry they can blame on the SNP.

  1. There is and has been a very strong Scottish influence in Canada for centuries. And, as the unionists never stop telling us, Scots are just ‘no very good and are ‘not genetically programmed to manage things’. Given its Scottish influence and heritage, the chaos of British Columbia’s ferries is not surprising – just look at Calmac and the horror stories in the media.

So, jist furget aboot independence, we cannae dae anythin right.
