Jackie Baillie, above, on a one week change in A&E waiting times of only 0.2%.
Only Scotland does the one week returns so to compare her party’s performance in Wales, we need to use the monthly data.
In May 2023 (the latest data), NHS Wales saw 62% of 70 310 patients within 4 hours.
In May 2023, NHS Scotland saw 70.8% of 138 467 within 4 hours.
So, in simple percentage terms, NHS Scotland did better but also with 1.7 times the population saw almost twice as many patients. Off course we do have more nurses and doctors per head of population. Remind me whose fault is that?

Poor Jackie Baillie , she really falls at the first hurdle in any statistical sweepstake .

Being uncharitable , I would say she demolished the first hurdle she attempted to jump – then ended up in A&E – then found out first hand how GOOD our NHS is despite HER continual bad-mouthing of it .

As your previous article amply demonstrated, the wilful distortion and blatant lying over NHS performance in Scotland by it’s media is politically motivated, it is not broadcast or published to inform the public.
eg HMS James Cook’s “Scotland’s A&E four hour target continues to be missed” is fairly typical of the framing, criticise SG’s failure to achieve ambitions whilst platforming opposing political rhetoric, and throwing a few numbers around to imply detailed analysis –
In all likelihood the propaganda adviser/s to BBC Scotland know full well few are inclined to read the detail, but the headline will still subconsciously register.
England’s public are increasingly agitated and vocal over the dire state of the NHS, and with nothing but rhetoric to separate the two principal political parties, they look enviously to Scotland and what the SNP have achieved.
Most would welcome Jackie Baillie’s “crisis” in a heartbeat, but neither Tory nor Labour are offering it.
The Tories tried much the same scam as Baillie over the Welsh government’s handling of the NHS, when Drakeford uncharacteristically blew a gasket – The roasting they got from the Welsh public was spectacular….
Everybody knows London politics is what has caused the NHS to be so damaged, even ACH-him, Tsunami Baillie and Chairman Hoy…
