Today, in a report on how the UK Government axed a contract with French firm Valneva costing UK taxpayers £358 million, there’s no comment from the Scottish Government.
Why should there have been?
Well, in February 2022, using the very same photo, BBC Scotland had news that the Scottish Government had invested £20m in Valneva to help keep their Livingston plant open and to protect jobs there.
Imagine the UK Government had first invested in the deal and the Scottish Government had then found a way to scupper it through, for example, planning law? We’d see angry comments from Labour, Cons and Lib Dems condemning ‘the SNP.’
So, why was the Scottish Government not asked to comment on this story?

We know the answer , Westminsters war on Scotland

The Valneva story does not appear anywhere else on the BBC website, despite the fact that this was a Westminster decision. Although the report indicates very early that it was a Westminster decision, the headline uses the word – a favourite of Tory politicians – ‘taxpayers’, and, since it is a ‘Scottish’ story, I infer that the writer is trying to imply the Scottish Government was at fault.

“So, why was the Scottish Government not asked to comment on this story?”
Too many parallels ?
Javid scuppered the Valneva deal maliciously (Alister Jack and DRS) then lied about the reasons (Boris Johnson and Partygate)….

Westminster Gov spent £270Billion funding Covid over two years. £370Billion over a life time. UK Gov accounts 2019/20. Wasting £Billions on fraud and corruption. Mismanaged the pandemic to concentrate on Brexit. Another disaster wasting £Billions.
The ConDem cut NHS funding £20Billion 2015 to 2020. Instead of increasing it. Spending £125Billion a year. The Tories intend increasing Military spending £5Billion (£55Billion). Instead of increased funding the NHS £5Billion. Killing people rather than saving them. Wasting £Billions on Trident and redundant weaponry, tax evasion, financial fraud and illegal wars,

The two main reasons that the UK state government cancelled this contract were:
Valneva is a French based company at a time when the UK being Seen as dependent on the EU was out of the question, politically.
This company was located in Scotland and the UK state government must never be Seen to being dependent on Scotland for anything.
Their narrative always has been that Scotland is completely dependent on the UK state for it’s very survival.
In other words it was all about the independence of the UK state and it’s ability to act accordingly.
Independence in the British Isles is only viable if you have an English government and preferably a Tory one.
