LATEST: More than 2.4% of the rest of us have gone to work feeling ill!
On Monday at Holyrood:
Monica Lennon (Central Scotland) (Scottish Labour): To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to a recent BMA Scotland survey of 800 doctors, which reported that 71% of respondents said that they had gone to work when they felt too ill to do so.
Jeane Freeman: A holding answer was provided.
There are around 18 000 doctors and consultants in NHS Scotland.
There are a further 5 000 GPs.
800 respondents equals 3.5% of all doctors.
71% of the 800 sample equals 568 equals 2.4% of all doctors.
A self-selecting sample is unreliable.
Sigh.

Thank you once again for clarification, is Labour MSP Jackie’s abacus getting passed around the Labour benches ? .

And this at a time of an epic public health crisis!
How stupid does anyone have to be to become an anti-SNP politician?
“Disgust” does not begin to describe the nausea we all must feel at such inane, time and energy wasting. political posturing.

Why would any doctor put at risk the health of patients by going to work when too ill to work?
