Willie Rennie: Jo Swinson backed Tory welfare policies that ‘should never have happened’

JO Swinson voted for Tory welfare policies that “should never have happened” when she was a minister in the Coalition, Willie Rennie has admitted.
The Scottish Liberal Democrat leader said he personally regretted the “bedroom tax” and other welfare changes introduced between 2010 and 2015.
(Rennie claims he “..personally regretted the ‘bedroom tax’ and other welfare changes introduced between 2010 and 2015” – conveniently forgetting his role as Westminster Scotland Office special advisor (spad) between 2010 and his election as a list MSP in 2011 – following which his job was to be ‘cheerleader in chief’ for the Westminster tory/lib dem coalition).
