Scottish LABOUR tried to hide ‘killer facts’ from public

In the Herald today:

SCOTTISH ministers engineered a way round freedom of information law to keep the “killer facts” in their briefings a secret, official archives have revealed.

Files released today by the National Records of Scotland show the Labour-Liberal Democrat Executive of 2006 reclassified material with the explicit aim of thwarting FoI requests.

Research from 2015, suggests that 8 out of 10 people only read headlines. On that basis, only those who recognise the two Labour politicians, long-retired, and those who make it to the second paragraph will realise that this is not about SNP politicians.

Recent FoI requests by the Lib Dems, Tories and Scotland in Union, have of course, been recently used to reveal supposed ‘killer facts’ about ambulance hoax calls, police and nurse mental health-triggered absences and road casualties, in the Herald and on BBC Scotland, pretty much unhindered.

For the few who read on, Tom Gordon writes, civil-service style:

Imagine the SNP Government tried the same?

  1. SO THE LABOUR PARTY EVEN BACK WHEN A NEW PARLIAMENT WAS BORN

WERE STILL TRYING TO COVER UP PUBLIC FACTS
AND THIS IS WHY THE LABOUR PARTY AND ALL UNIONISTS WERE STILL CORRUPTING THE SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT EVEN WHEN
    IN ITS INFANCY

NO HONOUR AT ALL ALL DEALS DONE BY “HANDSHAKES”

And today the character of MANY UNIONISTS REMAINS SAME

  2. Thank goodness they are gone. The deceit do not fool the voters. Lose gone and defeated. Trying to hide the facts did them no good. It is only under under SNP governance that the accounts and facts are published. Open Gov. Out of the darkness into the light.
