Reporting Scotland content themselves with a negative view. Things are clearly getting worse, they imply but they leave out this, in the online version:

A spokesman for the SPS said it treats the issue of smuggling drugs into prisons “very seriously” and the service had “invested in technology to better detect suspicious substances and work closely with partner agencies to garner relevant intelligence”.
“We have over the last few years pointed out on many occasions, to those in our care, the dangers of using such substances. If we suspect that an item many contain such materials, then we quarantine them and do not allow them to enter a prison.”

This is pathetic BBC. Last night my wife and I decided never to watch the BBC again. We will get our world news from Aljazeera and U.K. news from Channel 4’s website and of course the National.

Good. Write to them and say you no longer require a tv license because you don’t watch any of their programmes or ‘catch up’ on any device whatsosever. (you could have 100 tv sets and still do not need a license). You should get a refund in part if paid upfront. They cannot harass you or threaten you with prison (you can’t be locked up for debt in Scotland). They will write every two years, it’s awlays nice to be thought about and receive a wee letter in the post lol!
I just reply saying they’d have to pay me to watch their propaganda.

This is a frequent media ploy, due, either to a lack of knowledge of statistics or a wilful misuse.
Several years back, when there were concerns about rape and sexual harassment, there was a – welcome and desirable – campaign to encourage more people to report such things. And, as was intended, many did.
Of course, the increase in reportings led to newspaper headlines of “Surge in rapes and sexual harassment”.
When schools in Strathclyde Region were encouraged to report incidents deemed to be racist and the data were published, we had a spate of stories that “racism is rife in our schools” and “Scotland cannot claim to be a haven of racial tolerance”.

That low cut fake tartan dress, since when did women at the BBC have to look like models for car adverts? Suit and tie for all or let’s see the men with low cut t-shirts on! We fought against sexism in the 80’s, seems it didn’t register with organisations like the BBC!
